Movie Description
This lavish British mini-series chronicles the life and times of England's King Charles II (Rufus Sewell), the first king to reign after the nation's 11-year tenure as Commonwealth under Oliver Cromwell. The drama follows young Charles from his father's execution to his subsequent exile in France and his eventual return to the throne, focusing primarily on the decadence of the Restoration court and the king's many mistresses.
