The Last Jihad by Joel C. Rosenberg (2002, Hardcover)

I read this book in 2003 and it still sticks in my mind as a favorite. I use this book as a standard to which I compare all the novels I read. The book has suspense, the beginning of a romance, good descriptive passages that are easy to understand, a casual writing style and more! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great book.

absolutely grabs you with the first paragraph and never lets go - same in his follow-through novels. he is absolutely the best writer of action books around-no one can touch him. i anxiously wait for his next. without a doubt, my currently favorite author.

After reading The Copper Scroll by Joel Rosenberg, I decided to read his other novels. I enjoyed the suspense and like following progression of characters through different books.

I first started reading Joel Rosenberg with The Ezekiel Option, third in a series. I really enjoyed The Ezekiel Option. The Last Jihad was the first book of the series so I bought it. Rosenberg's writting skills have developed with his experience. The Last Jihad is a good book to help build character development and give some back ground to The Last Days, The Ezekiel Option, and the latest The Copper Scroll. If you read The Last Jihad and are not impressed please do not give up on Joel Rosenberg, the rest of the series is exciting.

A great book. Lots of action, suspense based on biblical facts. I hope he continues to write more books of this nature.

Great political thriller. Great insite to the happenings in the Middle East. Looks like the International News page of the Times. Probably more accurate.

I put Rosenberg on the same level as Vince Flynn, Clive Custler, & James Patterson and Ludlum. Good read and not hard to follow. Leaves no loose ends. Do yourself a favor and don't start unless you have the time to finish, you won't want to stop.

This book is the first in a series of 5 books that are so relevant that you won't want to put them or it down. Rosenberg keeps the story going and doesn't bog you down with useless info. I've read them all now and recommend them to anyone who is wondering what could happen in the last days.

I had always heard how good Joel Rosenberg books are so finally picked one up on eBay. This one was great and fast moving. It's very timely even though it was written more than six years ago. Starts out with an attack on the President's motorcade and ends with the threat of a nuclear war. I won't spoil it for you and tell you too much but know you're in for an exciting ride through the world of politics and terror. I highly reccommend it and can't wait to get another Rosenberg book.

This is an excellent book, very good plot and very well written. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I could hardly put it down. Highly recommend it.

This book is a winner. Written with a Tom Clancy feel, Rosenberg is a much better writer and keeps you on the edge of your seat...which doesn't happen often enough for me. There is a ton of information about Revelations and other books of the Bible that as a Christian I really appreciate. The language doesn't have "gutter language" and doesn't need it with the powerful thrust of the story. I have learned a great deal from this book and I am looking forward to The Last Days....the next book of five on my fictional journey. Thanks, Mr. Rosenberg, for a "buried treasure!"

A really wonderful book that I highly recomend. It's timely of our current world events by an author that is very well informed. Be prepared that when you read this you will want to also read the next three books in his series.

The Last Jihad is part of a 4-book series on the last days. It is definitely a must read, but, don't stop there. Definitely read the next 3 books as well. Each book builds on the one before, so you should read them in order. I also think that each book was better than the one before. Rosenberg writes a fast-paced, believable novel with believable characters who wrestle with their faith (or lack of it) especially in reference to the world events surrounding them. Not only do the characters grow, but you will as well. Sometimes we get so caught up in living that we put God up on a shelf, but these books will definitely bring Him back down again. Have fun reading!

He is a compelling writer that makes one stop and think. I hope to be able to find his other works on line as well.
