The Last House on the Left (DVD, 2009, Rated and Unrated)

This is not a good movie at all! I hate the fact that this movie has a rape scene in it!!!!

Although the film may be heralded by many Wes Craven fans as a wonderful remake of an old film, I must agree with many who saw this film in it's unrated form, that it may just have stepped over the edge of decency.

All films try and tell a story about tragedy of evil versus good and the innocence taken away from others, but I think the killing and raping scene within this film puts it way under my line of human decency. Many scenes of this film where quite enough on their own, but showing cold blooded stabbing and rape of young innocence girls, goes way too far. The tenseness of the film was enough already, but why do we actually have to be shown this type of horror.

The desensitizing of our minds happens to happen slowly to the point where we think, oh wow, I guess it's not a good horror film unless you show the gore and horror outright.

I hope to never see anything so graphic again in my life and could not imagine the direction spending so much time showing the actual act for such a long extended period of time.

If you happen to spend time seeing this film, I would hope that you watch this with the intent of agreeing with me, however, it may not be that shocking to you as it was for me.

I'm going to give this film an average rating of 3/5 because of the content, yet the tenseness and scariness will probably keep you afraid of strangers from here on out.

because i never received my dvd and never got a response from the seller, and will never buy a dvd from e-bay again because of this.this was not the only movie i have not received from e-bay and i am tired of the problems with ordering dvd's from e-bay all together.

I have been purchasing since 2007 and this is the first time I have been taken. Took my money, never sent product.

A Doctor takes his wife and 17 year old daughter on a vacation. Everything is going fine, until the daughter meets up with an old friend who works in a convenient store and in comes a guy that they don't know, but walk with him to his hotel room and smokes weed with him. This was Page's idea to do this, because the other little girl is a swim champion. The parts of the movie I would like to get past went slow: the boys dad and girlfriend and uncle came home. The need a car and too the girls car..the girl gives wrong directions, causes the car to hit a tree and she gets beaten and raped, that rape part is too long to watch and all too real. Page tries to run away: they catch her, bring her back, sticks a knife int her kidneys from the front and back and the girl watches her die. The girl gets up slowly, now get this, moves like a snail, then has rock hidden in her hand, hits the boys dad and runs away. She jumps into the water and the dad is shooting at her and hits her. The assume that she is dead and walk off. Then the mean people gets to a house and yes its the girls house. The good Dr. fixes them up from the wreck, they let them sleep in the guest house. The boy picked up the necklace when the day tossed it on the ground, it was a gift to the girl from her dead big brother. The boy puts it beside the cup he was drinking from: The girls mom and dad hear a banging on the porch, they find there daughter laying there half dead: they take her into the house when the mom goes to get stuff to fix up the daughter with, she see's the necklace. She shows the husband, husband said daughter was raped and then all heck brakes loose. They go after the bad guys. The son is a good guy and gives the Dr. his dad's gun. All the bad people are killed one by one and the family with there daughter and the son of the bad guy rides away in the boat end of story. Like your Mom said, beware of strangers. I really injoyed the fact that the victims won the battle in this movie. I would watch it again. Except for the mean parts.

This movie really surprised me for a remake! I had very low expectations because I didn't think it would be any good. It was definitely one of those films that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time! However, one part is very disturbing and not easy to watch (or I would given this 5 stars), but I liked how realistic the events were & there's never a dull moment. It really makes you feel for the characters until you realize it's just a movie! Good acting and worth buying for intense thriller fans!!!

The movie was very good. I saw previews about it and I had to see it.
Would recommend it to everyone who likes a great thriller and drama.

I liked this movie in the sense that it kept my attention the entire time. I wasn't bored and didn't want to get up from watching it. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. However, the rape scene was very hard to watch. I didn't like this scene and I actually fast-forwarded it through it once I seen how much you "see" of it. It's terrible and it made me want to cry. Other than that, this movie is awesome. You just don't know what will happen next. WATCH IT....you won't regret it.

I have NEVER GOTTEN THIS MOVIE.When I won the auction I thought that the movie would be on it's as soon as I paid for the movie.So I waited and waited and now it has been over 30 days, so as of now I guess I wont be getting the movie.

I liked the fact that this movie was true to its previews. It offered a lot of drama and proved that you never know what to expect of anyone. I liked that fact that the movie offered realistic views as to what could possibly happen to anyone, and it made my young niece aware of the dangers of what could start out as careless fun...

This oneis better than the first. Would recomend this one to people who like horror movies. My wife likes horror movies better than I and she is still talking about it.

Speedy shipping and the product was just as described. Although the disc paused a few times it was fixed when it was wiped down and I would certainly buy from this seller again because they are obviously reliable.

I ordered the movie Last house on the left and I was informed where and when it would be delivered. I love the fact that I can pay with pay pal and not have to use a credit card or I probably would not order because credit card get me in trouble

As soon as I heard they had done a remake of this movie, I wanted it. I can remember the first one, which left me chilled to the bone. The chilling effect was probably better with the first movie. (I was a lot younger). Movies which deal with the, "it could really happen in real life" idea, have always been my favorites. Last House On The Left was redone with great special effects and very good acting. 5 thumbs up from me.

This movie is really scary, you will never be bored. The movie takes off right away and the ending is so good, it will blow you away on what happens, this movie is the best i've seen in a long time.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++.

I was really impressed with the acting in this movie. With what happens to the characters in this movie it requires great acting to make it believable. I was blown away by the brutal violence in this movie and I felt for the characters and what they were going through. This movie is not for children under the age of 18 and when you see it you will know why. I'm not the greatest with writing reviews so I hope I was helpful.
