Another excellent installment in the Discworld "Wizards" Storyline, this one has Rincewind travel to the lost continent of XXXX, or "EcksEcksEcksEcks," a land without rain or very much water, but plenty of lager. (For information about the various storylines in the Discworld, check out my guide.
This is, once again, a wonderfully funny book by one of my favorite authors. Pratchett's wit is as sharp as his tongue, and his observations about the utter silliness of being human are unparalleled. Rincewind is, of course, his usual cowardly self, but we find that his courage trebles when cheap Australian - I mean Ecksian! - beer is available. Look out, world!
For those who've never read a Terry Pratchett book, do so - I promise you won't regret it. For those who have, this one is another hit! It's on a par with anything else he's done in the Discworld.
Highly recommended for all lovers of (humorous) fantasy.
