Cheap Trick's Lap Of Luxury is a strong album filled up with great catchy tunes. 'Let Go' is a great catchy song with good lyrics. 'No Mercy' is an interesting piece and has a great catchy bridge and chorus. 'The Flame' is the bands only number one hit in the U.S. A great ballad, perfectly sung. 'Space' is a brilliant song, one of my favourites. Great lyrics and catchy chorus. 'Never Had A Lot To Lose' is a great rocker with good lyrics and great structure. 'Don't Be Cruel' is a great cover of Elvis Presley's song. 'Wrong Side of Love' is another strong track, similar to 'Let Go' and has some great lyrics. 'All We Need Is A Dream' is interesting, great vocals and nice tune. 'Ghost Town' is brilliant, lovely tune, well structured and perfect lyrics. Robin Zander did great singing it. 'All Wound Up' is the weakest track but still a nice catchy song. Overall, a fantastic album!

Cheap Trick's "Lap Of Luxury" CD- 1988

I've owned a copy of this album on cassette tape for years. I showed considerable wear due to my playing it almost all of the time. It actually self-distructed about four years ago, and since then, I've been trying to find a copy of the CD without much luck. When I would locate a copy online, the price would be way more than I wanted to pay, so I waited for a better deal. I finally found it on eBay at a fairly reasonable price. It was well worth the wait. It is an excellent CD. I don't think that there is a single bad song on the whole thing. "The Flame" is a fantastic tune. Their rendition of "Don't be Cruel" would make Elvis proud. I especially loved "Wrong Side Of Love". It's rare that I would love all of the songs on a single CD. Even the greatest bands in the world will hit an occational clincker. Cheap Trick did an amazing job from the first track to the last. I would highly recomend it to anyone who appreciated quality music.
