The Language of God by Francis S. Collins (2007, Paperback, Reprint)

I absolutely loved the book. I am currently a senior biology major at a christian college and deal with difficult questions and seeming disconnects on a very regualr basis. This book address a lot of questions that I have and provided some comfort to me that I can be both a christian and a scientist.

Feel like I wasted my money.

Francis Collins is an interesting speaker. Book sucks though. Well written, easy to read, but, although he may understand DNA and RNA, he draws vast conclusions about the origin of the earth and the universe. He strongly promotes EVOLUTION and ridicules young earth creation scientists such as Dr. Henry Morris. Henry Morris and Kent Hovind are both loved and respected by me.

I did hear in a dialog by Dr. Collins the mention that science is a form of worship. That is what attracted me to the book. That and his humble attitude. Unfortunately I find the book trash and nonsense, except the part that directly covers what he is an expert in, the human genome, that was ok.
