The Language of Argument by Daniel Lamont McDonald, Larry W. Burton (2007, Paperback)

Although I found out the first day of class that I didn't need that book, it's still a great book. It's basically brand new!

I really liked this book. It had many different essays in it. I also should you different examples of persuasive and arguementative writing.

It's smaller than I thought it would be, but in perfect condition. I needed it for school and got it just in time. For no other reason would I have bought it.

An interesting collection of essays that are supposed to teach the fundamentals of writing. Semiotics, syllogisms, inductive and deductive reasoning, and many others. The author uses that are on controversial subjects and issues and after each one there is a set of discussion questions. The reason I purchased this book was for English, critical composition and I wouldn't purchase it for any other reason.

This was very helpful and insightful text that covered persuaviewriting in a well organized and easy to follow format. It provide several basics plenty of examples and was relivant to current issues. This text is well worth the read.
