People, who are interested in Lance Armstrong, & his preparation for & consequent historic winning of the 2004 Tour de France, will find this book interesting reading.
2004 was his 6th, of ultimately 7, consecutive Tour de France career win. Nobody, in Pro Cycling, had been able to do that before Lance.
You get a real good picture of Lance's opinions about the media, & what techniques he uses to handle the Media. In fact, the book's title relates to his "war" with the Media, not his "war" with Cancer. Yet the Author also shows how Lance relates to his Fans, despite the Media.
You get to know the people that Lance worked with & surrounded himself with, how Lance trained & unwound, his relationship with his fellow Discovery Pro Cycling teammates, & his personality.
I really liked this book & found it very engaging. I liked the author's effortless ability to explain the technical terms & aspects, of Professional Cycling, in a way that "anyone" can understand them.
I bought this book to get "Lance's side of the story", in the supposedly positive "Doping Test" result controversy from the 1999 Tour de France, & I did.
In light of the similar "ongoing" controversy surrounding the 2006 Tour de France winner, Floyd Landis, it's intersting to see how he's portaited then, in his last year as a rider on the Discovery Team.
