The Intelligent Media Converter 7500 supports management capability for any combination of hot-swappable, intelligent "twister" and "redundant twister" modules. All intelligent "twister" modules offer transparent media conversion with low bit delay for maximizing the permitted length of Ethernet and Fast Ethernet segments, and provide an effective means for integrating coax, Category 3, 4, or 5 twisted-pair and singlemode or multimode fiber optic LAN segments. The Intelligent Media Converter 7500 features two modular chassis options that give you the flexibility to mix and match 10Mbps and 100Mbps "twister" media converter modules and "redundant twister" modules to meet critical network uptime requirements. Advanced monitoring and management features built into each module allow cost-effective, at-your-own-pace migration to proactive management. Remote manageability and high-quality, reliable design greatly lowers long-term cost of ownership. The Expanded 17-slot 2 U chassis features fixed single or dual loading power supplies for expanded high-available applications.
