  Good game!

This is a nice rpg to have. Kind of challenging. Not as good as the Final Fantasy games though. It reminds of of the older nintendo games. Not as short as the Yss II game. Took me some time to beat unlike that one. It's a good game to have if you like rpgs.

  Bad Battle System
Review created: 04/15/09

The game plays very much like the Ys games with an overhead view. It's difficult to hit the enemy most of the time because most of their movements are random and that's just a bother when trying to level up. Other than that, the game is still rather interesting with a veriaty of spells and whatnot to gather.

  Lagoon RPG for SuperNintendo
Review created: 03/15/09

Poor Graphics & boring RPG- reminds me of the graphics of original Nintendo. Character has to interact (speak) with the same other characters repeatedly to get to do anything at all. Very slow!

  Terrific game
Review created: 06/08/08

Simply put, this was one of my favorite SNES games growing up. This is a great RPG that allows for excellent character customization, and has a great storyline. Even now, it's story is more entertaining better written than some recent games that have come out. Also, the game does a great job of getting progressively harder as you move through it.

This is a great classic RPG. I would highly recommend checking it out.

A delightful surprise for such an old rpg.

The look of this game doesn’t look like an Illusion of Gaia or a Final Fantasy II. It would be less in the graphics department, but not so much so that you would have to pretend. For instance, the store when you walk up to it, you get a pop-up of the store owner; rather than going inside. So, I could appreciate the leap from my GB rpgs; I had been playing games like Final Fantasy Legend III. If you like role-playing games, and you do not mind simpler graphics, the game has a lot to offer in game play. It isn’t as long as other Snes role-playing games I have played, but you are satisfied at the end, so for me it was long enough. I don’t remember having much choice in where to go, it was rather linear, not open and free roaming, which doesn’t have to be a bad thing. As I said earlier, I was glad to see the progress from the earlier Snes game and games that really showed what a Snes could do.

Muddy, Murky Water: Let It Be
Review created: 12/06/02
by: deeblackthorne -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Hack-and-slasher quest to save the kingdom and the world from an ecological disaster...

Cons:
...too bad it's such a God awful game!

Lagoon tells the story of Nasir, a swordsman who becomes enveloped in an adventure to save the kingdom of Lagoon from ecological disaster. Of course, that would sound rather intriguing had the storyboard authors decided to do little more than murk up the water. "Save the kingdom!" the denizens cry, but for what? If anything, this game made me thankful for pots and pans with which to boil and sterilize polluted water. Since Nasir has obviously nothing better to do than to explore dungeons and embark on the quest, he leaves the town and heads into the mine to save a wounded compatriot. Not that.
