Paula Deen's 2nd cookbook....recipies are wonderful, and The Lady is The Best! She is a true inspiration to all women, especially single moms everywhere...Life can be wonderful, if you want it to be!!!!!

I bought this book as a gift for a friend but checked it out myself before delivering it and am now getting one for myself. If you like cooking with a country flair you will love this book.

I love Paula Dean and her sons, i watch all there shows and have bought several of there cookbooks, and love each one, i enjoy the recipes so much they are comfort food, and so delicious.

I own a small cafe in town and I was looking for something different to serve on my "Special" nights, Paula Dean has done it again!! Fun & easy cookbook to use....once you have used her "House" seasoning, you will use no other!!

I've really enjoyed watching Paula Deen's cooking shows so I was so excited to find her cookbooks. She writes just like she talks and tells you stories of her family and friends so I find her books very entertaining and enjoyable. Her recipes are so good and easy to follow. I bought all 4 of her cookbooks and I love all of them. I rate them 5 star and Excellent.

It is a great cookbook. I love watching Paula Dean on the food network. I really respect her ambition and the family aspect of her cooking. I got a great deal on this cookbook and also bought one for a Christmas gift. It arrived in perfect condition. I have made several dishes from it all ready. A great addition to my cooking library.

I bought this particular book because I had the second cookbook first and really wanted to get this book so that I had both of them. I love Paula's recipes and I always watch her show. Some of the best tasting food has come out of her cookbooks.

Oh what fun! and anyone who loves southern cooking will love this and anyone who has never tried southern cooking should, each dish I have tried is wonderful oh that oooey gooey butter cake, in chocolate yummy!!

I love Paula Deen's Food Network show!! I admire her and her son's and if I ever get the money, I am going to visit her restaurant in Savannah, Ga. I was raised in a family from the North Carolina mountains, and my family cook's just like Paula. Some of her receipes remind me of the food my grandmothers prepared, and my mother still does. My husband loves to cook, and he is a southern cook just like Paula. So this cookbook was really for him!! These are the reasons I bought the cookbook.

This is a Good Ol' Southern Cookbook full of comfort food recipes! The Southern Fried Chicken is the best! If your looking for diet food your definately looking at the wrong book because every thing in this book is anything but diet! Great southern food!

Bought this for myself and when our girls were in for the holidays they ended up writing some of the different dishes down to try. I have tried a few and so far all have been very good. Love the way she cooks and look forward to trying more from this book. Would recommend it to anyone. I watch her on a regular basis and love the way she cooks, good home cooked meals and desserts.

Love Paula's down-home simplicity to cooking and enjoy her T.V. show. This was a wise investment--just reading her cookbook is a pleasure!

Excellent cook book. Great ideas, great food, easy to read. A real must have. I purchased it for my wife for Christmas and it's has been a gift we've both enjoyed.

I bought this cookbook after watching Paula Deen on television. It's an excellant cook book, very well written. Also easy to follow.

A friend of mine had a copy of this cookbook and after looking at the recipes I just had to have one! This cookbook is not for anyone looking for low-fat, low-carb or low-cal recipes! It is for someone who loves old fashioned southern cooking, but using some of our modern day short cuts. I love to sit down and just read cookbooks and this one is certainly worth the read!!

I bought the book because she has been so muhc hype as to her cooking being totally southern and I am married to a southern man and thought this would be a great book. There are serveral recipes that I liked and will make. I also have a make a few of her dishes and I feel mine are a little better. But she is totally southern and I am not so the varioness of the ingredients she used are either more than I would use, such as using eggs in Mac and Cheese. The first time I made her mac and cheese I folloed the recipe by the letter. Once it was on the table we all agreed that you could really tell the egg test. So When I made it again, I eliminated all but one egg and it tasted better. I do intend to try more of her recipes. She is as cute as a button.

I ordered the ccokbook by Paula Deen because I love her and her cooking program. She is so down to earth - and really charming - and knows her cooking. So I am very delighted with the cookbook, and I have been very happy with my half.com orders over the past years. This order was received quickly and the book is in great shape.

i bought it for my son who is newly married. it was very affordable and has ecellent recipies that are easy to follow.

I really enjoy Paula Deen's recipes. I had received another one of her cookbooks as a gift in the past and wanted to try more. This cookbook, The Lady & Sons, was not disappointing either. One of the reasons I bought it was because many of the recipes are served in her restaurant in Georgia. All the recipes are easy to read and have simple directions. The ingredients called for are already on hand in your kitchen or easy to buy. I also enjoyed reading the Notes, Introductions, and Helpful Hints. I can honestly say that I haven't made one item that I didn't like. My husband says, "get more of her cookbooks!"

this was easy. I have been following Paula's cooking shows for a long time, I have used her receipts, so when I needed a gift for a bride, I knew this was the gift. And when the book came in a nice fold out fashion. I was very sastified.

I started going to Paula's restaurant, "The Lady and Sons" back in 1996 when it was still small. Loved it then, and wish I had bought this cookbook when it was offered there!
