Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book by Terry Jones (1994, Hardcover)

I bought this for my sister as a gift and she loves it. When i received it i couldnt help but to look through it before her. the stories are so cute. i just loved it.

i liked it because the titles name is about faires and because of the pictures inside the book,and the price was excelent...

Not your run-of-the-mill fairy tale. Bring your sense of humor along for this one! Wonderfully illustrated and weirdly articulated, Lady C's Pressed Fairy Book is sure to delight all fairy fanatics.
This is the second time I have purchased this book. I originally bought it in 1994 for my then 3 year old niece. The artwork could be perceived as mildly erotic, but, oddly enough, 15 years ago I didn't even notice!
Now that I am revisiting this book, I realize that the 10 year old niece for whom this book is intended will most certainly notice the illustrations and giggle, blush, or just revel in the taboo of the graphics!
All in all, an enjoyable book (with a twist) for kids in the 'fairy phase'.

I bought Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book because my seven year old daughter, who believes in her diminutive stature that she is part fairy, has become obsessed with everything fairy! I read the book aloud to her using a false English accent & we had a blast! The book even comes with a window cling of a pressed fairy so that you have one of your own! The book was illustrated beautifully, & at times comically! However, after reading the book & viewing the illustrations, I would recommend that an adult preview the book's content before presenting it to a child. Some of the fairies posed in rather unpleasant poses, and one of Lady Cottington's journal entries deals with a situation that is little inappropriate for smaller children, otherwise, it's a fantastic book! A must for anyone that's half as addicted to fairies as my daughter!!

Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy book is a truly enchanting read as you flip through the pages and see all the surprised fairies she captured within its folds one can not help but chuckle or smile. I reccomend this book to those light of heart and mind.
