Lace Machines and Machine Laces by Pat Earnshaw (1987, Hardcover)

I decided to buy this book based on the recommendation of someone who is an expert in identifying type of Antqiue and Vintage lace. She had indicated the best way to learn how to identify hand-made vs. machine made lace is to know how to make the lace first hand. This is a great book for learning about anique machine laces and how to correctly identify them as such. The book has over 400 illustrations, close-up to where you can see the details of how the lace is made. And as an added plus, this book is a signed 1st edition.
