Album Notes Personnel: Sammy Kershaw (vocals); John D. Willis (acoustic guitar); Brent Mason (electric guitar); Paul Franklin (steel guitar); Stuart Duncan, Joe Spivey (fiddle); Hargus "Pig" Robbins (keyboards); Glenn Worf (bass); Eddie Bayers (drums); John Wesley Ryles (background vocals). Recorded at The Castle, Franklin Tennessee; Sound Stage Studios, Wedgewood Studio, Nashville, Tennessee; Cayman Moon Recorders, Berry Hill, Tennessee. Hailing from Louisiana, Sammy Kershaw first found country music fame in 1991 with CADILLAC STYLE, which endeared him to fans and critics alike. His bold, energetic style has produced hit upon hit, and Kershaw has evolved emotionally, developing an ever-widening emotional palette. LABOR OF LOVE, Kershaw's sixth album, is filled with the sort of complexity and range which makes him such an interesting and genuine artist. Produced by Mercury Nashville exec Keith Stegall, the album features the down home homage "Cotton County Queen," as well as the tender ballad, "Love Of My Life." Whether playing up his honky-tonk roots or crooning a tender heartbreaker, LABOR OF LOVE proves that Sammy Kershaw has the talent to take him all the way to country music greatness, and the guts to keep him there. | Find errors in the product description?
