LaCie Electron 22blue IV 22 inch CRT Monitor

This bulky and heavy monitor was prepped and packaged well. It was also shipped in a timely manner. The package arrived in good condition. The monitor is just as advertised and is working well.

I bought this monitor to use for my photography business to edit pictures on.
Since I am told that CRT monitors are no longer being manufactured and professional level LCD monitors are very expensive I was looking for this highly
reccomended monitor while I could still find one. It has turned out to be a very good purchase for me as it is an excellent monitor in all respects. I was able to
download a manual from the LaCie website and have calibrated it so that I get matching color rendition from my lab. The only negatives about it are its weight,
70 some pounds, and it runs pretty hot, almost like having a space heater in the room. But it is a great monitor and was definitely a step up for me.

This is quite honestly the best brand and model of flat screen CRT monitor available today (July 2006.) Works for PCs or MACs. And yes, LaCie's Electron 22" Blue CRT monitor is bigger, heavier than LCD monitors, but this newer 22" LaCie weighs so much less than Apple's old & almost unmoveable 19 " CRT monitors. Much less, plus the LaCie's bulk is manageable, too. All that being said, the LaCie can't be beat. For graphics it's the best.
