If you are a Prince fan, than this is the CD you have been waiting for. This is the best CD Prince has put out since "Emancipation." Its a 3-CD set, and its funky and jazzy and is filled with Prince's signiture lyrics and instrumental genius. He's Back!

mplsound brings back the linn drum machine and features more of prince 'traditional sound.I personally enjoyed all of the albums over the years and this is the best since 2001's the rainbow children........

This is Prince's most co-hesive album since The Rainbow Children. The album is very similar, but also very different. It has elements of all of Prince's musical stages. From the alternative feel of Around the World In A Day & Parade, to the funk of New Power Soul & Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic
From the jazz/fusion of The Rainbow Children, to the sparse drum programming of Contrversy & 1999. This album has it all!
Both Lotusflow3r & MPLsound are solid. Bria Valente's Elixer is very cool, and sounds like the kind of album that Chanté Moore should be making.
This album will make you Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful! Enjoy!

As a long term fan, It was with mixed emotions that I read about this new "budget" 3 CD set from Prince. Once again, he'd defied convention and was releasing it through an American Chain store(?)
I opened an account on their website and get excited as I pre-ordered the CD, then was frustrated that they didn't ship to the UK. Why not? we are the world now, and in a recession , my ( converted) $ was still income..
Still ,their loss was E-bay's gain.
This CD set is worth buying just for the Lotusflow3r disc alone- It's Prince at his guitar playing best. He covers a wide spectrum of styles an tones, channelling Hendrix on some tracks, Spanish tones on another, rediscovers the power of a good tune, then does al of the aforementioned in a single track. Play "Dreamers", my favourite today.. OR "Crimson and Clover" ,another cover ,but stamped with the Prince genius DNA straight through the middle (8)
"4ever" grows and niggles into your subconscious, as does the hook encapsulated in the up-beat "feel good, feel better, feel wonderful"

AS for "MPLSound", the so called "retro" CD, It's that alter ego, Camille reappearing after an enforced absence, Camille's back, older ,wiser and even funkier than before.High light is the retrospect "Ol' Skool Company", with compulsory spelling issues. This tune thumps along, hypnotising the most unclubber of us into thinking, yes sir, I can Boogie...and I'm going to, whether you like it or not!

The 3rd CD is his latest trick, i mean "protege" , Bria Valentine. I must confess to this CD being the Quality street variety that is still in the tin come New Year's Eve. It's very nice on it's own, but when mixed with it's other peers, is the one at the back of the queue, slightly embarrassed to be in such illustrious company and lacking the self confidence to demand equal status. "Nice" is an over used term ,but this is that. a Magnolia wall in the house of purple...
Don't let my underenthusing for this CD stop you from getting the set ,the other 2 CD's are worth their weight in gold, with a hint of purple of course!

Bria Valente - Elixir : good album, with excellent songs (All this love, Something U already know)

Prince - Lotusflow3r : Great album, for me the best of this 3-cd set !!! (From the lotus..., Boom, Crimson and clover, Wall of Berlin are excellent songs !!!)

Prince - MPLSOUND : I'm just discovering it... first song is a "cover" of "The good life" with different lyrics, I think U'll have 2 listen 2 the album 2 or 3 times to love it...

Every song is amazing! Prince brought a powerhouse! I have picked this as my album of the year so far 11-4-09. You won't be dissapointed, it will blow you away!

3 CDs - one of which is the new Prince protege. Out of all 3, one is Prince back on track and back on form -this is the MPLS sound CD.Otherwise, the other 2 are lacklustre. But the one that is on form - absolutely worth the price on its own!

Great sounds from the Purple one,and the girl has a great set of pipes, If you like a nice mix of r&b, funck,and soul you'll love this set.

this tri-cd pack is INCREDIBLE!!!! the seller sent it out to me i believe the very next day after the auction was over and i rec'd it, sealed, within 2-3 days- you can't beat that!! i bought it because i LOVE Prince and i didn't know he had released another CD, much less a new artist, so when i saw this i HAD to jump on it!! the seller's rating also played a big part in my purchasing it as i have been burned before in purchasing music--either it's a burned copy (after stating in the auction that it is the original product), or just plain not receiving the item after having paid for it---but that was many moons ago! this transaction, as well as the tri-pak cd, were flawless!!

If you love Prince and all his creative qualities you will appreciate this.He covers all genre's and does it well.I have been an African American fan for over 30 years, and I am still amazed at his ability.This is a three cd item that has something for everyone!

The product arrived quick-snap in pristine condition, much cheaper than the £30 the store sells it for here (that's just over $50)! Also futher prove that Prince & his people are keepin' the funk alive into the 21st century, & surely that's a good thing, eh?

Best Prince Album In Years. Has A Bit of Everything for Everyone. Hope next time he skips on the singing puppet (Valente or something) and sings on all albums himself though.
