LG trax CU575 (AT&T)

This is the first phone we'd bought off ebay. We bought it because we needed to replace a broken phone and we didn't want to spend the full price on a new phone so we decided to try this. We are really happy with the results. We will be considering buying the rest of our phones off ebay.

I love this LG phone. It is easy to use and has all the bells and whistles that I need. I can hear the ring tones. The MP3 player is good. Camera is excellent and easy to use. I would recommend this phone to anyone that wants a good phone that is easy to read, easy to use and can even still be used online.

I first bought the LG CU500. I liked it, still do. In fact, I like it so much, I bought more for my family. The only hitch for us is that the CU500 is a bit finicky on which microSD chips it uses and we are running 512 chips for mp3 and photos. Kind'a small for our tastes.
So now I decided to go to the CU575 trax. Same basic phone, just packaged a bit different. There is now more memory available (holds a 2GB microSD).
The camera is now a fixed unit vs the swivel unit of the CU500. No biggie, unless you like taking pics of yourself, all the time. I figure it is a question of taste, myself.
Other changes are the look and feel of the unit. It is more business/industrial and my wife likes the 500 better. For me, it is a toss-up.
Sound from either the speakers or the headphones is great, although, I must admit, that the single speaker cannot hold a candle to the true stereo of the CU500.
I don't use the internet features, so no comment there, but it is still a 3G phone, and based on the other features that I DO use, I am sure that no one would be disappointed with it.
Games is another matter!
Pre-loaded with trial versions of a very short time limit-WHAT GARBAGE!!!
Good thing the internet has loads of JAVA-based game that can be downloaded for free and you can get rid of the try-and-buy stuff with some simple erradication software also available for free.

All in all, aside from the game gripe, there is only praise for these units.
Buy used and save BIG!!

Update: I really HATE the pressure stip that must be activated to control the phone when closed! The CU500 had buttons that could activate in your pocket, but thaqt is not a problem in a case. This phone makes you puch and hold the side buttons to activate the lid control strip.
On the plus side, you can access incoming text messages through the exterior screen. I don't, though because it makes you active and then de-activate the control strip.
All in all, it seems a bit two steps forward, one step back in this phone's design.

The LG CU575 has a sleek look that isn't overwhelming, but nice to look at. The screen is large for a non touch screen flip phone and the display is amazing. Very clear and bright which it has to be to support the TV application where you can watch almost anything.

This phone is made for music with XM Satellite Radio built in, along with AT&T Music and the equilavent program to Shazaam of the iPhone that recognizes music. It also supports a 4GB media card.

I have gotten great service so far with at least 5 bars everywhere(I do live in the city).

If you are on a budget but still want a phone that has all the features of the higher priced ones, go with the LG Trax CU575.

I love everything about this phone! It was different from what all my friends had and most of all it had features that none of their phones had. Its easy to use, lightweight and trendy. I am actually thinking of buy another one for my daughter.

I bought one used and then two days later bought a new one on eBay.
I love the MP3 player, it is great, I am thinking of selling my Zune I don't use it now. It is sooo much more convienent to use this as my MP3 player.

It looks cool inside and out and the controls for the MP3 player on the front are really cool. I got an LG bluetooth stereo headset for it works great!

Cons:

Does not have as good reception as my Motorola V3
Battery life (would be much better if I didn't use the MP3 player)but it is no shorter than my Zune is.

I love my Motorola V3, I've had two and I am thinkg of selling it now 'cause I love this LG Trax phone.

this phone has great features! i love it! the screen went out on my old phone after i dropped it in water and i am not eligible for upgrade yet, so i did a lot of research and found that ebay was the perfect option! i got my brand new lg trax for $99! I looked at a bunch of other phone but short of the iphone nothing came close and i just can't afford a phone at that price right now. the phone got to me in 1 week just as advertised and i was absolutely thrilled! now i cant live without the cellular video, mp3 player and everything else this phone has to offer! go for it!

i brought this phone because i was in need of a replacement phone . i came to ebay because i wanted a quality phone at a keep price. the phone was used but in very good condition ..

I called the cingular office here after dropping my new phone in a pond. I explained that I purchase several phones a year. I dropped one in the pond, one in my lemonaid glass, ran over one, left one on the hood of my car going 60 miles per hour and so on. The customer service man recommended this model to me. He said in his opinion that it was a little more durable than others that he had. So . . . I'm willing to try.

Everything about the transaction was great. Bought for my husband for Christmas. He loves his phone. It was a great price.

I just love the the music, the video and the internet. I bought it because is a quadband and has pm3 player

phone is just the right size and easy to use. Not to bulky to fit in shirt or pants pocket. If you dont want to many bells and whistles but just enough this is an excellent phone!

I love my trax phone. I have music and pics any time I want. Its compact and fits in my pocket. I also like the memory card, I can easly put every thing on it and insert it into my computer. Very simple.

It was in excellent condition like the salesman said. My 18 month old son dropped my old one in a glass of water so i had to replace it and i wanted the exact one like it cuz they are the best phones. The price was excellent too.

Just as described. Phone was charge and ready to go. I just inserted the sim. Included was car/home charger.

item was good as described in the advert, it was good in features and quality. the phone was nice, talk of ringing tone, sms, the radio etc.

This model was the first phone i got that had a camera, video recorder, and a music player on it, so my review of it is going to be somewhat biased. Overall, it was a good experience, the phone came within the predicted shipment time and it was in good, i repeat, "good" condition. The only problems i have with it are the battery life is 1/4 the life of my last Trax, lasting only about a couple days, and every time i go into the "other files" folder in "my stuff," the phone shuts off without any explanation. I don't really use that folder for anything, but who ever does anyway? So I'm not too worried about that. But overall, this transaction is a 7/10. "Good enough to pass my class."

I have two of these phones and find that they do the basic stuff, voice and text fine. My dauther has one as well. It is also durable having been dropped multiple time and still keeps on ticking.

this is a great little phone. feature rich with 3g, video streaming and music player.
its kinda old and kinda ugly to look at but the inside is like warn apple pie.
excellent voice quality and extremely fast data.
large keys and large font for easy visibility and use
two screens to display info and external camera and mp3 player controls.
but its not all tea and crumpets, there are some things I didn't like:
the speakerphone speaker is week, there is a size limit for the alert tomes/video, its ugly on the outside,and ALL FLIP PHONES TEND TO BREAK IN HALF via "OVERFLIP"

bottom line, THE BEST PHONE YOU CAN GET FOR UNDER $40. HANDS DOWN.
I have owned 2 of these and gifted one to my aging grand mother and my twelve year old niece wants one now, very cool phone, great for all ages.
pick out a cool case for about $5 and you are good to go.

Its a great basic phone with large numbers and easy flip-phone style. Just what I needed and good quality.

Purchase this LG online a few weeks back and it has work perfect for me from day one. I just love this LG phone. Needed a replacement phone because my regular phone got damage. Now the replacement has become the mainstay. I like how the keys are easy to use and the menu is very easy to navigate.

We got the porduct fast and I like that. I don't have anything bad to say
I got it some people that I bought from I never got it and you have to go through all the other stuff to get your payment back and I glad I got it and it worked and looked good.
