LG Venus (Verizon Wireless)

I really love the LG Venus. Like many, I am a fan of the iPhone but do not want to switch service providers or pay $500 for a phone that has very low battery life and features I can get else where. The Venus has 2 screens - a small touch screen and a large visual screen. The responsiveness of the touch screen can be adjusted. Another feature I like is the 2.0 megapixal camera/video. This phone is a definate upgrade from the RazR, which I greatly disliked. The Venus has not frozen on me like the RazR did constantly. I reccommend it any phone addict.

I purchased an LG Venus Phone for my daughter and after waiting for 5 days with no e-mail stating that the item was mailed I contacted the seller who was rude and defensive. The next day E-Bay sends me an e-mail that the seller was fraudulent! This, after the seller had my money. I had to then proceed with a dispute process which took 30 days. In the end on behalf of E-bay, I must say that most of my money was returned, but it is the last purchase I will make on E-bay. Perhaps the need to revise their screening processes for sellers, or better yet arange for payment to be made to the sellers UPON mailing the item, NOT PRIOR TO!

I have just received the phone and I love the sleekness and style. The phone is very classy. It sounds very crisp when you make a call. This phone has an ease of use to it. I highly recommend this phone. I replaced my Juke with this and I have no regrets.

I bought the Venus after a process of elimination of the current and somewhat limited selection of available Verizon phones - as I am pleased with the flawless past performance experienced with Verizon service I couldn't rationalize switching carriers for the sake of increasing phones selection.

The Venus has surpassed all expectations for excellent perfomance on all counts. The sound clarity is excellent, the camera and interface is excellent, the MP3 player interface is acceptable and the stereosound quality excellent (even with various blue tooth stereo listening devices - which work fabuously) the touch controls are easy to use and the variable button layout advantage is well utilized. I like the sharpness of the screen although quite difficult to read in bright sunlight, the battery life is exceptional, the slide mechanism is pleasing and efficient to use, and the size of the phone is just within a comfortable fit and weight for my pocket. Dialing numbers buttons are exceptionally tactile and easy to access without missed presses. My only gripe with the design is I sometimes mistakenly try to use the phone up-side-down which would be rectified if the top end of the phone looked different from the bottom. I used the bitpim software to transfer and store contacts with good success. I find the memo feature (built-in digital recorder) useful and again, good quality sound, great storage capacity with 4 gig micro SD card which I use to store music, memo recordings and photos.

I like this phone and would buy it again without hesitation at the $260 price that I paid.

This is a wonderful phone if you do not text too much and enjoy listening to music, and do not have an ipod. The battery lasts a long time and the speaker is loud. I love this phone.

This phone was great until recently. My phone was on low battery, when it started to flicker on and off as if the screen was going out. Also, when on the phone, you can hear a very small ping sound.

ok well i got this venus phone in feb. in march the bottom screen broke cracked and you couldnt see it!! the next couple months i finally got a new one. that day i opened my phone i got it activated abd progarmed. that night i went to call someone and the phone was in two pieces.... DONT GET THIS PHONE!!

In the caption under the product it said it was brand new and when i got it the speaker phone nor the ring tone work.

One of the best phones available anywhere, right now. Touch screen is very easy to use and the phone itself is awsome looking. It is loaded with all the latest features and comes in black or black and pink, both with a silver metal trim.

The phone exceeded my expectations ~ easy to use, quick and very up to date. The touch screen took a bit to get use to, but at this point it would be hard to go back the other direction. The technology this phone uses is very quick, if you looking for something snappy and trendy this is the phone for you.

Easier to use...fits better in the hand...navigation is simpler...and it is a great looking phone to boot...it is by far the best phone I have ever owned...

I like most everything about this phone, but I there are some perks. The touch screen is very convenient and responds very well. However, it is very hard to keep clean. It always seems to be smudged. The bag that the phones come with works very well as a cleaning tool, but who whats to clean their phone after every use? I also had one more problem with the phone. About a month after I started using the phone, it lost all of its sounds. I could not hear anyone on the receiving end, and the phone would not make any sound. There was not ringtone, beeping, or anything else. I was forced to only text for a few hours when the phone decided it wanted to work again. It has not happened again since.

Overall, I really do like the phone a lot. It is pretty and functional. I am just really worried about its life span. I mean how long can the touch screen stay in good condition under so much use? I purchased insurance with the phone and recommend that to others!

i like that it slide up and got the touch screen and its a newer phone and i cant afford the voyager so thats why i got this phone

I really really love this phone, the touchscreen is awesome which is why I bought it. The keypad is also amazing! Great for texting (buttons stick out and I can easily move across them)

The bad part about this phone is that the ear speaker where I hear others talk one day just started to buzz. You can hear a strong buzzing in the background when other people talk and it never went away...

Other than that AWESomE phone! All my friends love it! :)
