LG VX5200 (Verizon Wireless)

My girlfriend and I had the phones and we like them a lot. Very easy to use and durable. My girlfriend dropped her a few times and it still worked. The camera is good especially since it has a flash!

Pros:
1. Good signal strength
2. Nice, I guess "sleek" design
3. Decent battery life
4. Cool color front LCD
5. All the features anyone NEEDS on a phone
6. Purchased ring-tones and other sounds sound very good.
7. Seems sturdy although it hasn't taken too many tumbles yet.

Cons:
1. Small text in a fairly hard to read font
2. Very, VERY few ring-tones (12 I think mostly variations of one-toned beeping)
2.5. And no option to use voice memos as ring-tones.
3. Poor camera quality compared to 6100
4. After getting used to the easy to use buttons on the 6100 these buttons seem awkward and too, I don't know the exact word, "fancily" designed.
5. Menu hard to get used to and feels like there are too few options.

BOUGHT IT AS A REPLACEMENT TO ONE THAT GOT WATER DAMAGE. VERY SIMPLE TO USE FOR A PERSON THAT WANTS A PHONE WITHOUT ALL THE EXTRA BELLS AND WHISTLES. CHOSE TO PURCHASE IT USED AND PAY A FRACTION OF WHAT THE VERIZON STORE CHARGES YOU RETAIL FOR A NEW ONE JUST FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE CONTRACT. PHONE IN GREAT CONDITION. VERY HAPPY WITH MY DECISION.

The phone was advertized as new in pkg. When I went to Verizon to set it up I found out it was a "hacked" phone that was stripped of carrier info. It could not be completely programed. It could receive email but not send email. It was in an opened bx with the serial # torn off so I could'nt check it with the phone. It worked about a month then quit completely. The Seller had a 98% rating. I would give him a big Fat Zero. I was ripped off.

Great service, connection in areas where the signal is low on other phones, clear sound, variety of ring-tones & options to add to or remove from your phone, small in size, great pictures and easy to use camera.

I bought this phone as a replacement for a lost one(the same model). I like it for many reasons. It's small. It has a battery life of almost a week, strong signal, quality sound, and it's so easy to use. The features have alot of options making it easy to customize to all your preferences. It has a quality speakerphone and is everything is voice activated. The camera is the only thing I think could use improvement. Anything more that 7 feet away is fuzzy. I used a samsung while waiting for this one to ship, the features were not as convenient but the camera was slightly better. I highly recommend this phone for the casual cell phone user like me.

I was very happy with the cell phone I purchased on ebay. It was in brand new condition and the exact model of the phone Verizon was going to charge us twice as much for. It works great.

It works. It is just like the phone I had I can' even tell the difference.. Ther is nothing I dislike about it

I bought it for my brother because his quit working. The ad said it was in great condition except for a few cosmetic scratches. When we recieved it the screen would not even come on. I put in a dispute with paypal, won and recieved my money back from paypal, not the seller.

The seller did not respond when I asked him to fix the phone and stated I WOULD EVEN PAY for the repair! The LCD display DOES NOT WORK!

I liked that they had open communication with me but i don't like the fact i had to return the phone twice and now am waiting for my third one. Every time there is always something wrong.

If this was my first ebay purchase, it would have been my last. The item was displayed or I was led to believe it was brand new. It took over 3 weeks to receive my item and it was not only used and beat up, but still had old phone messages and phone numbers in the phone. I could not get any cooperation or response from the seller, as soon as I threatened to report it as fraud, the phone was received 2 days later. I think I still will have to rethink any future ebay purchases after this nightmare.

This phone is great if you are looking for a phone that will last you a long time. I have dropped this phone on the ground several times, taken it everywhere, and still I have no problems. The actual usage for this phone is really simple. Here are the specs for it.

The camera works great, I have taken about 1000 pictures with it so far, it is nice to have a phone with a camera on it. The voice recorder is nice as well, if you have something you have to remember that will help a lot. This phone is definitely one of my top three phones.

I purchased the LG VX5200 because I had washed my phone and wanted one just like it. A Verizon rep strongly suggested that I look for a used phone on eBay to save money. I bought this phone because the seller had good reviews. When the phone arrived, there was some slight scuffing on the outside and it was quite dirty. I wiped it off and attempted to connect the phone by using Verizon's on-line assistance. It didn't work, so I called Verizon and a live rep tried to assist me. Everything went well until the final *228 was typed on the keypad, but the sound that resulted was not the normal connection sound and the phone did not connect. The rep asked if the phone had been stolen, which I had no knowledge. He then asked me to take out the battery and check a printed area that should have been red. It was pink. He suggested the phone may have gotten wet. I contacted the seller and reported our findings and he immediately replied two times to my email, saying the phone was in good working order and asked me to try again. I then took the phone about 60 miles to the nearest Verizon Store and they had the same results as I did both times before. The seller would not respond to my email, so I did not return the phone, but removed the battery and gave it to my young grandson to play with. I am paying the Visa payment, but I am very unhappy about this transaction. I would not purchasse a used phone again. I ended up buying a new phone from Verizon. The quality of this phone is most disappointing - the worst ebay purchase I've made yet. The phone was dirty, scratched up and still had lots of personal contacts and messages in it - including an inappropriate sexual picture as the main LCD wallpaper. I bought it because I needed a replacement phone and wanted one like I already had.

i like this phone because was good price and was almost new i will buy another phone if i need another one

This is a good phone when working however be aware that there are numerous documented issues with moisture/corrosion of the charging pins affecting phone operation. The phone will enter into a "car kit" mode disabling operation and can only be turned off by cleaning and/or drying the pin connectors. If you are not aware of this you will waste a lot of time trying to find the option setting in the phone and may think the phone is completely broke.

The phone has a high-pitched rustle or whisper. Young people with good hearing, and particularly young women, are more likely to hear this than older adults and men. So if you're buying a phone as a gift for teenage daughters, don't get this one. Of course it may be unsuitable for others too. I'm female but over 40, and I heard the noise, and it was extremely irritating, distracting, and even painful after long conversations. I am very glad I ditched this phone and got an Audiovox instead.

Awesome pixing, texting capabilities and crisp clear graphics, loved this phone! I love the LG line and this is definitely one of their best.

This is honestly a great phone, and the only reason I have not kept it is becuase I got the Razor for my 2 year update. The phone has a good camera with a flash, including a car and a home charger, with a leather case. Good Buy, way below what would be going for in a store

The only thing good about verizon is there phone sevice and signals.. Thats it I dont like the fact that the phones are weakk thats all........

I purchased this phone because it has a speakerphone option, which works great. It doesn't have many bells and whistles, but it works just fine and the battery has lasted 4 days so far. Can't beat that.
