The LG VX4400 is Get It Now capable, however this is a first generation Get It Now Capable phone. You can still download ringer tones, games, directions, etc. but The screen is not as big as the newer models for LG. It has the embedded Global Positioning System (GPS) chip necessary for utilizing the E911 emergency location safety feature as well as other location-based services. Although I have not seen any applications written for this model that would take advantage of the location-based services feature. It has a 65K STN color display that allows you to view up to 8 lines of text making it easy to view information from the web or read large portions of emails.

Overall this is a nice solid phone. Not a lot of fancy bells and whistles but it does the job and does it right. There are two models of this phone that are available for the Verizon Wireless network; VX4400 and VX4400B. The VX4000 is Silver/Gray all around. The VX4400B has a blue face plate on the outside housing other then that the phones are identical.

I give it a 4/5 due to the time of this review. This is an awesome backup phone or for someone looking for a simple to use reliable phone. Other then that there are many other models LG has made since this model that are just as solid and feature packed.

Below are some specs from the manual.

  Two years and still running

Surprised to see a phone more than two years old being rated.Have had two other brand named carriers,Verizon as a network is tops.
Yes,the phone may drop calls in remote areas, between tall skycrapers or under bridges, but I have not used the Every 2 years discount I'm entitled to for last six months.
Most folks who complain about cell service are the ones who never press *228 send for a two minute monthly roaming update,or take their phone in for free software programming 2x year at Verizon company store.

No dropped calls for 2 years! Holds a long charge. Used the 911 anf GPS. Flip never gets floppy. Never used the leather case. The plastic holsters are a must. Easy to read instructions.

A nice little phone for the price (free with my contract), but doesn't have a lot of the latest features. This was my first phone that I could access the web and Verizon's other ringtone/game features. It took a pretty good beating from me and held up pretty well. Toward the end though, shutting the phone would not end a call (could be bad situation depending on who you were talking to). You had to press the end call button. Also, the battery was easily exposed to water, even from a nearby pop can.

In less than a year the systems memory in the phone start to have problems. The phone would loose numbers and names. Then it start putting other numbers under other people's names. Verizone said they seen this a couple of times. They replaced the phone and 3 months later they new one started doing it again.

Also it has problems keeping a signal. I would have one bar when others would have 3 or more.

These phones are kick-a* - they are heavily modable if you have the USB cable, and they are reliable and work exceptionally well in fringe service areas (I live in a rural area that only has analog towers!)

BUY THIS PHONE AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY

This is a solid phone for the most part. I have dropped this phone countless times and the earpiece still has yeat to break. It has all the features I need for it, It has hands free capability for when you are driving so thats sweet. it has every thing you would want for a basic phone.

The only down fall is, well I've had this phone for 2 years now and, sometimes I get zero service at my house and I have a straight shot at the tower. for all I could know it could be the antenna on the phone.

I have found nothing about the phone that I don't like! I've had mine for over 3 years. It just now is getting to the point that I may have to replace the battery. We will probably replace it's battery and have my husband use it and I'll be shopping for a new phone. I have never had signal problems with it.

This is a tough reliable phone for people who who work outside or in rough conditions. I bought mine on the recommendation of the Verizon dealer almost 3 years ago. When my 2 years was up, I bought the V710 Motorola, but was very dissatisfied, so I gave it to my son, and fired up the old LG 4400 again. The faceplate on the outside of the phone is cracked real bad, but everything works like normal. I will stick with LG if this one ever dies.

  BEAST of a Phone!!!

LG is known for making consumer friendly products. The LG VX4400 boasts and amazing menu system that is easy to use, clear, and colorful. Screen quality is great on this phone, and the reception is remarkable. There are drawbacks however!! The phone is BIG. It is a thick brick of a phone, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in durability. It also doesnt offer many customizing features. If you can get it for under 50 bucks youve got yourself a good deal. If not, use your money to go to a phone that will fit into your purse or pocket!

  Cell phone review

My contract was not up with the cell phone provider, by my children had both ruined their phones, so I had to buy replacements. Not wanting to up the contract or buy $200 phones, I went to eBay. I like the fact that I was able to get a good used phone with accessories for a minimal amount. I disliked having to clear the phone out of all old numbers from the previous owner, but a small price to pay for a usable phone. I will buy again from eBay sellers.

I bought the NewPhone 74205 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

I've had same phone, same battery for over 2 years now

I love this phone, it's easy to use, set up, and nice for playing games on. I've had the same phone, as well as the same battery for over 2 years. I haven't had a single problem. I use the phone a lot too. I just downloaded tri-peaks pogo to my phone, and it plays it great. I usually have a signal, so i haven no problems there, and i've even dropped my phone a few times onto the cement floor, and still no trouble. (but i wouldn't recommend doing that :) I've been lucky) Verizon wants me to get a new phone with the "New every Two" plan. but i'd have to go back to a contract and they said i could get an upgrade on my phone. I don't think i will. I like this phone and i'd recommend it to anyone.

I bought a used LG VX4400 Cell phone over a month ago from this seller . When I received the phone I noticed that the Package had the amount the seller paid for shipping, which was $1.89. I Paid 8.99 for shipping. I don’t feel that is fair. Also, the phone was different then the phone in the picture and was dirty. After charging the phone over night, I tried to power it on but nothing. I contacted the seller and they said it was a common problem and they would give me a refund after they received the phone back. I sent the phone back and never heard from them again. I contacted them to let them know that I sent the phone and they should be receiving it soon. After 2 weeks I tried to contact them again, no response. A couple days later EBay contacted me letting me know that the sellers account has be deleted. I paid for the phone through pay-pay so I contacted them about the problem. I was not pleased with the seller or the phone.
