LG LX5550 (Unlocked)

We have use the LX5550 by LG for years in my business,we have four of them.It was a shame that LG stop making it. I think it may have been the best phone LG ever made.

This has been a great phone to replace my first LG model which I had to replace because it fell in water. The LG phones seem to have good reception from further distances than some other models. I especially like the digital time display of current time & length of call on this one. Having the voice feature telling who is calling for an incoming call is convenient & less annoying than a ringtone. It has an awesome amount of features. The only thing I don't like is a strange noise on the line I hear momentarily when I answer a call. I have to wait a few seconds before the caller can hear me say hello.

I SORT OF LIKED IT AND MAYBE WOULD THINK ABOUT BUYING ANOTHER ONE ONLINE. ONE CELLPHONE I BOUGHT WAS GREAT THIS ONE SUCKED AND I GUESS WHEN YOU BUY CHEAP IT PAYS AT THE END SO I WOULD JUST REALLY SEE WHO U ARE BUYING IT FROM.

I enjoyed my purchase. I will be sure to keep this seller in mind when making future purchases. I received it in a mannerable amount of time. Thanks a lot!

I do not recommend purchasing the LG LX550. It's a cute phone, gets good reception, etc. but it has major electrical problems. I had one, the screen got all messed up, and it was basically useless because you couldn't see anything. Luckily I had insurance on it and was able to get a replacement phone, which also malfunctioned (the screen again). The two other people on my plan had the same phone and we all had problems. US Cellular ended up letting us upgrade to a different phone because they had a recall on this particular LG model, apparently a lot of people were having problems! The other LG's seem to be fine, but this model obviously has some sort of bug.

This is the worst phone ever!! Don't waist your money on it. The US Cellular people all agreed...it was a bad model...lot's of problems. This phone was recalled because LG had so many problems with this model. It randomly drops call, poor signal everywhere, screen does funky things randomly,yada, yada,yada!! It looks good but that is about it! I would take it free but I would not spend money on it! Sorry...wish I had a better review!

I absolutly love this phone. It works really well, is easy to work and the size is great to just slip in a pocket. I have had many phones over the years and this is the best so far. I am going to purchase one for my husband also.
The price is better than a lot of others. I did not want to mess up my contract when I needed a new phone so I went this route of buying one and I am very satisfied.

I am boring in that I only use my phone for talking to people - not for snapping photos, texting, emailing, etc. Phone works well, minus all the fancy bells and whistles, and does the job just fine.

The phone works good.I had one before, but it was stolen. I seen this on e-bay I just had to have it. Thanks.

first of all it is a brand new cell,i dint want to have 2 more years of contract thats why i bought it , and i love it, im very happy with my cell

I got this phone for my daughter, the outside lcd quit working right after the return period ended. The phone still works if you look at the inside lcd, It keeps going to the speaker phone, because the button is easy to hit. The only thing that keeps me from buying another one is lcd problems.

I was deparate to buy a new phone when I came accross this one. I read the discription and thought long and hard about it. went ahead and bought the phone only to find out that I had to have it reprogrammed, and I had to take it to my cell carriers reatail store to do it wich is 100 miles away. had phone reprogrammed and it works good now, except I cant dial and numbers starting with *, or #. phone wont let me dial them. Other than that I am really inmressed with the phone.

The LG LX5550 is a great phone! It does, however, have a few issues

As everyone's said...washed out screen
Speaker issue...speaker cuts out for no reason
Cheesy ringtones (must download some)
When you deactivate Driving Mode, it takes you out of Manner Mode (if you're in Manner Mode) and forces you into Normal Mode. Not a huge deal, but annoying

Overall, I would recommend the 5550 for anyone who wants a cool, unique, dependable phone (and doesn't need a camera)

I like the phone it is was I thought it would be the only thing is that the battery always needs to be charged Very happy with the seller deliver was fast

this phone is real nice and small in size. has lots of great features including a built in speaker. i recmend this model for us cellular but so not buy this phone for alltel it has a bug in the software and the phone has been recalled

my 10 year old son saved his money and bought this phone for himself.he loves it.it is a really nice phone with alot of features.

Okay this phone is a GREAT starter phone! It may not have a camera or video functions but in my opinion, that's why I have a video camera and a digital camera for. Great functions and the "tip" calculator helps me figure out the tip at a restaurant. I don’t have an alarm clock so that function is great. Sweet style and it’s a flip phone. Like I said GREAT STARTER PHONE!

I loved the price and it had all the latest technology features I was looking for! I used the phone immediately and have had no problems since.

A friend of mine at work needed a new phone. He asked me about ebay so I showed him a couple of phones from his provider and he liked this one the best. I put a bid on it for him and thaqt hoe he got his new phone.

I love this phone...its has been so perfect for me! I get compliments on how cool it looks all the time. I love how the buttons are separated....makes it very simple to dial without looking! It's got a super loud ringer! (I had to turn it down...it could nearly wake the dead on full blast!) It gets pretty good reception-except in large metal buildings like malls or wal-mart but that has been my overall experience with all phones since I got on the altell network-so it's not the phones fault. I kind of wish it had a camera...but if something happens to this one, I will probably buy another one just like it!

This phone is really awesome. The best feature is when I am driving, it will be in "Car Mode" and verbaly tell me whos calling.

IT HAS A LARGE COLOR SCREEN AND AN OUTER OED SCREEN WHICH SCROLLS THE TIME AND STATUS. IT ALSO LIGHTS UP IN DIFFERENT COLORS WHEN AN INCOMING CALL OR MESSAGE ARE RECIEVED. YOU CAN ALSO CUSTOMIZE THE RINGERS WITH A CALLERS NAME OR SPECIAL RINGER. IT HAS PDA CAPABILITY AND E911, WHICH WILL SOON BE REQUIRED ON ALL CELL PHONES. YOU CAN ALSO CHANGE THE FACEPLATE TO SUIT YOUR TASTE, EVEN THOUGH I FEEL THE ORIGINAL ONE IS FINE. BATTERY LIFE IS ABOVE NORMAL. SPEAKER PHONE IS ON THE REAR OF THE PHONE, RINGERS AND VOICE ARE QUITE LOUD. THIS IS A FUN PHONE TO USE, AND A VERY RELIABLE ONE FOR PEOPLE ON THE GO. EVEN THOUGH US CELLULAR HAS DISCONTINUED THID MODEL, THEY WILL ACTIVATE IT ON YOUR WERVICE PLAN. THIS PHONE WILL BE AROUND FOR A LONG TIME.
