LG Flatron L1770HQ 17" LCD Monitor

I still remember the first time I looked at a big plasma TV - it was about 5 years ago, and the model I looked at was a 60" Pioneer that retailed for about $10,000. What can I say, I liked it! But it was a little out of my price range! A few months after that, I remember seeing the smaller LCD screens at the local Best Buy. I did not like them, not just because of the price, but because of their tininess. The smallest, a 15" model, was over $600, and the "larger" 17" model was well over $1,000 dollars, which just seemed absurd to me, since I had been buying 31" CRT's from eBay for just a bit over a hundred. I remember thinking to myself when I can get a 21" LCD for a couple hundred, then I will get one.
And several years later, I found myself looking on eBay for a 21" LCD for under $200, when I stumbled upon this 17" model for about $60 closing within a few minutes, and for some reason I bought it. And I've never regretted it. The picture is amazing on this model. I use this monitor with a docking station for my laptop in my lounge (home theatre/TV room), and I still use a 21" CRT as my main monitor for my desktop in the office. This screen is a little bigger than my laptop's screen, and having a sleek monitor tucked in the corner makes the entire lounge look nicer and more modern.
As mentioned, the picture quality on this model is excellent. Also, the response time is very quick in comparison to other LCD's I've seen.
LG is one of the brands I like best in the electronics and PC hardware fields. I've been using LG's (CD/DVD) drives for years and the quality (which seems to be on par with Sony) is amazing, especially for the price (which is usually far, far less expensive than Sony). The same principle seems to apply with LG's monitors, somewhat. LG monitors are fairly expensive brand new (whereas Sony monitors are very expensive, IMO), but the price for used models is far lower than the original price. I'm not sure why that is the case, but used and refurbished LG monitors seem to sell for a fraction of their original cost, at a price comparable to far cheaper and inferior brands. In my mind, that makes them a true bargain, and worth hunting for on eBay.
A few weeks after I bought this monitor (earlier this summer), I was shopping at Harrod's and saw the same monitor on display (well about 6 of this exact same model) on a wall in their electronics section. That gave me some ideas for my lounge. Even thought this model is a couple years old, it looks really exotic and futuristic with several units mounted to the wall next to each other.
