Owning a Cingular store I get to play with all the new gadgets that come out. The LG CU500 has got to be one of the best phones out there. First of all It looks really nice. It has a pretty thin profile, excellent keypad, extra large screen, and a swivel camera. But this phone is not all looks. It is jam packed with tons of great features.
The 1.3MP swivel camera takes excellent pictures. The high quality screen displays the pictures even brighter and more clear than most phones.
It has a built in MP3 player and what I like most about the phone is the external MP3 control buttons. You dont even have to open your phone to play music.
This phone is UMTS and GSM. UMTS is a new technology that is much much faster than GSM. This allows for streaming video and extra fast internet browsing. UMTS is a little bit faster than 3G. It is like saying 3.5G which is very fast for a phone.
Overall it is a great phone and feels very good in your hands. For its price it is an excellent phone.

I bought this phone because it had everything I needed and a lot of the things I wanted. This phone is super easy to use. I pair a bluetooth headset to it easily. In fact I had to turn my phone off to pair my wifes motorola because every time I turned on the bluetooth headset, my phone picked it up immediately and tried to paid. The sound quality on the media player is great and has lots of extra's including call reject which gets rid of those harrassing calls. If I want to bluetooth somthing to someone...super easy plus I can fully custimize my phone with ringer and photo id. Plus along with my data cable, I can make my own ringtones and bluetooth them to other people.
With all this great stuff, this phone is far from perfect. First off, the phones shows prints and smudges like you wouldn't believe. The speakerphone is not that great. For some reason, even though it uses the same speakers, it is not as loud as the mp3 player. Plus you have to leave the phone open to talk on the speaker which is a little annoying. The reception is so so but the battary life is aweful. I only use my phone an average of 2-3 times daily and for only 3-5 minutes. With this usage, I still have to charge my phone every 3 days. I even leave it off over night. Next, the micro sd slot is a pain. Its super hard to get out. Not only is it under the battary but its tucked in a crevise that is not reachable by human hands without nails. The card slot is great for memory expansion, but put it in and leave it in. Lastly, the picture quality is good but the pictures always have a bit of a yellowish tint to it when indoors.
Now even though I had a lot to complain about, i am still pleased with my phone. I'm happy with the deal I got on it. But concidering it retails less than the razr, it should be eligible for insurance

LG-CU500 PurchaseI had a good purchase experence with this merchant. The shipment arrive on-time and in good condition, as stated. The only problem was that the battery was bad. I full understand that batteries are always questionable but, when I asked, via e:mail, a replacement battery should have been offered and it was not. Not the end of the world. I give them an 89 out of 100 and, I would purchase from them again. rp

Why I chose the LG CU500 again.The LG CU500 Is one Phone that i bought 2.5 years ago and really enjoy the feature and ease of operation. Between myself and all the people around me we have gone thru alot of phones over the last 5 years or more. Its nice they the cell companies make it easy for you to upgrade phones every 2 yrs, normally when they wear out. But i have found that one year a style has features or the way you access options on your phone, keeps changing everytime the upgrade a phone. This one has the clearest sound quality. i constantly get compliments on how good it sounds. The menus are all changeable to your way of doing thins, and the texting is about one of the easiest to use. Iwill be buying another one as a spare to have another back up phone before I cannot get one any more.

Be careful when you buy used cell phonesI have learned not to buy a used cell phone unless you know exactly how old it is. The first phone had a crack in it and I glued it back on. I was going to still keep the phone but the phone turned off on me during 2 conversations even though the battery had been fully charged. The seller sent me a replacement and even paid for my shipping charges to return the defective phone. I was hoping the next phone would be a bit newer. It was not. It had "Cingular" on it so that dated it. Anyway, the battery on this phone was even worse and would only stay charged about 6 hours. I returned the phone and now am waiting on a reimbursement. I am using a go phone from Target and not having any problems. I hope to get a better phone when I renew my cell phone contract.

Phone was in NEW condition as advertised. Works great!I have not complaints whatsovever with this transaction. It went very smoothly and the phone was absolutely as advertised. the video recording capability is great. The mp3 player is easy to use and convenient play, rewind and fast forwad buttons on the front face is easy to use. The camera has great quality and ease of use. The only down side is there is no zoom.

A great phone for a great price that has lots of features and is easy to use and set up. The camera is a little awkward but it has nice benifits once you figure out how to use it. The menu options are well labeled and self explanitory. It was even possible to make an animated wallpaper using pictures taken by the camera. and the call quality is first rate so all in all I'm very happy with this smart and awsome phone.

I love this phone it's my 2nd one, i got a contract with At&t and got this phone from my contract, and it was stolen so i bought one off ebay. i had razr's slvr's rokr's. and i prefer the CU500 over ANYTHING!!!..
i love the tilt camera which can be tilted pretty much any angle. the keys are nice and spaced out. the lcd screen is nice and big. the music player is nice.

Great phone in general.I wanted to buy this phone because I previously owned one that died and I really liked its features. I like the 3G technology and I really got used to using all of the features like the MusicID and the calendar on it. Unfortunately the one I bought from the seller on eBay wasn't in very good condition.

LG CU 500 (AT& T) Cell phoneI am very dissapointed to receive a phone that is absolutely in a VERY BAD shape. I wouldn't want the phone if it were to be given free. This was a going away gift for my daughter whos is going to college. I was so irrated of the condition of the phone & was very surprised to see that someone would want to sell it. I strongly recommend that the seller needs to truely think twice before he puts this phone back on E-Bay.

well everything seems great about the phone and functions well, came in the condition that the seller said it would but he did not explain that people are unable to hear you when you call, unless i'm not fixing something or am an idiot i'm pretty pissed about it all and hope someone can help me

As of now, I do not have a battery that properly fits the phone. The phone is in great condition and works well when plugged in. Works well on battery, except it keeps falling out. Waiting for seller to contact me to get a new battery. Phone would be excellent if not for this.

Much nicer than the former LG CU400 I had. Lots of features, nice design , and better camera.Fewer side buttons to get in the way. Would get excellant if I could transfer the phone book to computer. Neither phone allows this.

this is one of the best phones on the market today for around $100 bucks,their is only one flaw,you cant store pics or video to the micro sd card from the phone.the phone is very well made and can take a beating,this is truly the best phone for the money,hands down!
