LG AX8600 (ALLTEL Wireless)

THIS IS AN OVERALL GOOD UNIT PRODUCED BY LG. ALLTEL RECALLED THE BLUE, GOLD AND GREEN PHONE DUE TO SIGNAL PROBLEMS, CHARGING PROBLEMS AND PAINT CHIPPING OFF THE UNIT. I HAVE HAD THE SILVER ONE THAT WAS RELEASED AFTER THE ABOVE THREE WERE RECALLED. I LIKE THAT THE PHONE IS VERY COMFORTABLE IN YOUR AND AND YOU CAN STORE IT IN YOUR POCKET I DID NOT EVEN BY THE CLIP WITH THE PHONE. I HAVE DROPPED MINE ON ASPHALY ATLEAST HALF A DOZEN TIMES AND THE BATTERY POPS OFF BUT SNAPS RIGHT BACK ON AND POWERS UP. ONE OF THE CON'S FOR ME IS THE KEY PAD. IT IS NOT RAISED AND DUE TO ME HAVING LARGE HANDS I CAN PUSH THE WRONG NUMERICS SOMETIMES. THE PROS ARE A GOOD SPEAKER PHONE OPTION AND A PRETTY NICE MP3 PLAYER BUT YOU WILL NEED ADDITIONAL MEMORY IN A MICRO SD CARD I BELIEVE IT CAN HANDLE UP TO A 2GB. THESE PHONES SELLING FOR UNDER $100 WITHOUT A CONTRACT ON EBAY ARE AN EXCELLENT BUY. STAY AWAY FROM THE BLUE, GOLD OR GREEN PHONES THEY HAVE BIG PROBLEMS.

I bought this phone for the MP3 player and the camera. I had a few problems trying to understand how to get the MP3 player to work. The manual did not help much. Once I figured it out, it was fine. After having the phone about 2 weeks it stopped working. There was no explanation for it. It was still under warranty so I got a replacement phone from Alltel. The second phone lasted about 3 or 4 months. It died due to water damage. Maybe I'm just really hard on phones but I will not buy this phone again.

I bought the phone for the looks, mp3 player, and bluetooth. This phone has performed extremely well and looks sweet. Far exceeds my expectations and the celltop program is pretty nice too. No complaints here.

This is one of the best cell phones around in the market. The first thing why is its size, I am not sure about you but I hate carrying bulky things in my pocket, it is very uncomfortable. THis cell phone is really thin, there are times that I dont even feel it, and also is very light.
This cell phone gets a lot of service signal. I usually travel a lot to Mexico, right on the border, and is not a problem for it, I have go even far than that and sometimes it strugles but not a lot it gets the signal back.

One of the main attractions of this cell phone is the mp3, and one great thing that it has about it is the outside controls that only work when you want them to work, well when they are on. So there is no locking on the outside bottons, if you wish to call them that. The sound quality is great it has a great speaker, even on the speaker that you use when you are using it it is so good that you have to put the volume all the way down, that is the way I use it, it is LOUD!!!!

The camera quality is very good for a 1.3 mpx and also the videos, some pictures that I have taken came up so good that I print them or put them in webpages.

If you are planning to get this cell phone please do it, it is worth everything and the beautiful colors will catch the eye of eveyone

It is hard to say if I disliked the item, I never received it. Luckily, I had paid through Paypal, and after trying to communicate with the seller, I filed a claim again her and they found in my favor. I was refunded all my money. This was my first time bidding on and "winning" something on eBay, and I think after this experience, it will be my last.

I WAS TOLD THIS PRODUCT WAS SHIPPED OUT ON 11/12/08 AN 2 WEEKS LATER STILL NO PHONE YOU FIGURE IT OUT THIS IS A SCAM TO GET YOUR MONEY MY MONEY AND EVERYONE ELSE'S HARD EARNED MONEY. DO NOT EVER USE THIS SELLER IF THERES ANOTHER ITEM LIKE THE ONE YOUR GOING TO GET FROM THIS ONE BUT IT IS A LITTLE MORE ,PAY IT SO YOU DO NOT GO TROUGH THE SAME PROBLEMS I AM. This has to be one of the best buys i have made. It has made life so much easier for me. I love the mp3 player in it. I love the bluetooth. The evdo highspeed internet allows me to check my email, etc. at lightening fast speeds. Awesome Phone. Would recommend it to anyone. Has to be one of the best phones on the market.

I still have yet to receive my cellphone that I PAID for on the 16th of November. It now is November 29th and I believe I was ripped off. The person claims something went wrong with the postage, but no it was the fact that she LIED and probably never sent it out. IF I do receive it I will send it back for my money.

this company stole my money and i am gonna get my money back. Ebay is not a safe place to buy anything.

it had all the features we wanted and wasnt that complicated to use. the seller was great to work with. we had a defective one and they replaced it with a great one right away. my son loves the blue tooth and plays music on it all the time.

I bought one of these used. Mine is a total piece of crap but it has also been well worn. I like how you can record something and use it as a ringtone. I don't like how there is no headphone out (on my model), which makes the music player worthless. The bluetooth doesn't work but I think that's just on my phone. The battery life (on a new model) is great, mine isn't bad. It's a good phone if you get it new. I would recommend it over an ax565 (my previous phone) just because of the recorded ringtone ability. Get the model with the headphone out if you want it as an mp3 player, or do yourself a favor and don't listen to music through a portable dac.

the phone was supposed to be in working order to replace the one my daughter currently has that wilkl not charge. Upon receiving it I find that this phone will not charge either. .they will not take returns and did not have another phone like it for exchange. The y did offer toexchange it for a cheaper model(much cheeper, I might add.) It was not worth the hastle and I had to eat the 50.00 cost.

Everything was super and in a very professional manner. The product was in good condition. I was very pleased. Excellant rating as far as I'm concerned.

I purchased this phone in a refurbished condition and it arrived to me with problems. I notice it had a connection problem when I initally pluged it up to be charged. It was a waste for the money I spent on it. A totally bad investment.

I wanted to buy a phone for my mom for christmas but when i got it part of the top half of the phone was lose,no matching battary,severly scrached an nicked and when i wanted to return it they closed all their accounts,but paypal is great and hopefully here to help

I decided to buy this LG cell phone as a replacement for my old one (since I'm not eligible for free upgrade yet). The price was also attractive ($40). I'm very satisfied with the whole transaction, the delivery was very fast (3 days) and the phone works just fine. I would do business with The Phone Exchange in the future.

So just to make it clear the average rating has nothing to do with the product I recieved. I got my phone very soon after making the order. It was packaged very good and it great shap when it arived. The only problem I had is the home charger for the phone did not work and the company responded fast to let me know they would send a new on to fix the problem. However, a month has goon by now and I still have not been able to recieve that charger yet. I have purchased a new charger by now and the phone is working just fine.
