LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game (PC Games, 2005)

My kids (ages 4, 7 and 9 years) were already hooked on the 2nd version of this game, but we'd never tried the first one. Now we're crazy for both. An older boy neighbor told me that the first was not as challenging, but my boys seem plenty happy with it and would play it non-stop if they were allowed to.

Great graphics...kids aged 6-12 LOVE it (probably even older as well). We had tried the demo on the web, and enjoyed it. We got a great deal on ebay...excellent.

Very fun, nice LEGO twist. Little different on controls (IE no WASD) Be careful in Windows XP as it crashed on me and I then had to reload. But otherwise real fun game and I can't wait til Lego Star Wars Episodes 4-6 comes out

Pros:Awesome game, graphics, moves , powers...
Cons:Be careful ,the graphics do not work on some (older) computers.
I often found myself activating sticky keys by pressing shift too many times while trying to switch characters.
Overall: Sweet game,extensive story line,funny,fun,and a great buy!!!!

It is nice to have a video game that doesn't have a lot of blood and guts, but that the boys still like to play. It is a bit difficult for my 6 year old to understand which keys to press to make the lego guys move, but otherwise he loves it - and loves Star Wars, too.
I chose to buy this, because we have a computer and don't have an xbox or playstation. I don't have any other forms of this game to compare it too, but my son's friends have it and that's all I hear about after they get together.

This game is a great game for star wars fans of all ages. I find it to be challenging and also very engaging.

Pros: Follows story of Episodes I, II, and III. Very entertaining for me 34 year old dad and 5 year old son. I think we are down to about 10 cents per hour of entertainment on this one.

Cons: Some of the game play can be a little challenging without a gamepad of some sorts (Keyboard play can be tough, so don't do it). Some of the 2D limitations of the game make it hard to jump and have any sort of depth perception.

All in all a great game and I would recommend to anyone.

First off let me say that we have a few copies of this game for the boys to play. We have computers for the boys school work that are 3 years old and not fancy expensive computers either and they all have loaded the game fine and play fine.

My boys ages 11, 7 and 6 LOVE this game so much that they will do just about anything (eat their dinner, do their chores without complaining...)to make sure they don't loose Star Wars computer time!

This game is not violent meaning that when you whack someone the legos just fall apart. No blood and guts here. Also there are no evil scary sounding voices or noises which is very nice!

If you love Star Wars you will love this game! This game is not just for kids my friends hubby is pretty stuck on this game as well =o)

This game is quite fun, charming, and easy to pick up.
The Lego theme is cute, & opens up some interesting effects : e.g. bad guys explode into Lego peices, Jedi's can reform piles of Lego blocks into bridges & stair ways.
The levels are fast, & fun, with a few "switch puzzles" thrown in.
The game levels are linear & the difficulty level is easy enough with it's unlimited lives, but there are bonus goals put in for players that want to up the ante, making this game great for a range of ages & skills, which is perfect for teaming up with a younger or older relative for some enjoyable co-op play. I even got my Dad playing with me, (& He's in his 60's).. EIDOS also mixes up game play a little with the pod race & space battles
What it lacks in depth & high end graphics, it makes up with fun and simplistic joy. A great game for Star Wars & Lego fans alike!

The Lego Star Wars PC Game is probably the best Lego software that they have created as of yet. The game itself is enjoyable and extremely entertaining. The blend a wonderful mix of comedy in with action along with the Classic Star Wars feel. I originally bought the Disc so that I could enjoy the game that has been so popular in the last few years, as well as test it for my younger cousins. Upon receiving the item, I discovered that the Disc was faulty. It allowed me to install, but not to play the game. I noticed on the disk itself there was "Disc 1" printed in yellow--although there is only one disc for the game. I discovered after searching online that the company that produced the disc had recalled the faulty discs, however they did not get the all, so there are still a large number of them out there. So just be aware the there is the possibility--if only slightly that you may receive a faulty CD.

My son wants the WII so when I saw this available for the computer I jumped. He loves it. It was a great price and fast service. Thanks!

I had heard about this game and wanted to try it out, I is really fun and funny also. If you are a Stars Wars fan, you will love this game.

i really liked this game. the reason i bought it was because it was lego star wars. i am a little upset it is way to easy although it took a long time to figure it out. what i really like it because it has some of the jedi nights that aren`t in sets yet. I really hope you will buy this game. It`s great!
but becareful if you don`t have a geforce fx 5500 pci graphics card 256mb ddr your better of not buying because i bought it then found out about that. I bought the card for 200 dollars then one year latter the card went up.

I like that the game was sent within a few days of order and I decided to buy for my son He had been wanting this game and found it at the right price.

I think the game will be great, however, we have not been able to get it to run on our computer. We have enough video card memory etc., but don't have PIXEL SUPPORT 2.1 on our video card - this is a pretty recent addition to video cards - and if you don't have it on your video card - the game will install but it will not run!!!

My son loves this game. The only problem is it will only run on my Compaq laptop and not on my husband's Toshiba. Make sure you read the system requirements before you buy it. Also make sure you computer has a ton of memory or installing this will result in an even slower computer.Otherwise the game is great!

Kids love it, they think its awsome. They are 6 and 9 years of age. It dose not play on our home computer. We use a different one. Kids bought it with their own money. Several of their friends have it. Thanks

This is the BEST GAME EVER MADE you should get this game for your kids or just for you it is the COOLEST star wars game ever made!!!!!!!!

I love all the LEGO games since they allow 2 players concurrently, are easy for anyone to play (including my 6 year old), and provide hours of entertainment and replayability. I am running it on a 1Ghz computer so it's not the smoothest. I can't fault the game for that though. I also ran it on a gaming computer and the graphics were spectacular.

This game was in perfect shape and shipped promptly, but the best thing about it is my grandson now has a new FAVORITE game to play. He absolutely loves it!

I feel this is a great addition to your Lego Video Game library. You get to be any character from Star Wars 1-3. You solve puzzles destroy objects and use the force to gain studs or hearts. Find Mini kit canisters to build Lego vehicles. If you have Lego Star Wars 2 you can import all your characters to this platform with a function called use old save. Kill General Grievous, rescue prisoners, and even Pod Race. This is a fun filled game that provides hours of entertainment.
