) This is an excellent guide for the beginning fly fisher. Thorough and lots of color pictures. I bought it because I am a newbie to fly fishing and wanted to learn and absorb as much as possible quickly. I was not disappointed.

Typical L L Bean, The BestI've been fly fishing all my life (That's a long time)and I still found some new and refresher ideas in this book. If you are new or relatively new to fly fishing, this is a must have. Covers almost everything one needs to know.

Simply AmazingFor a first time fly fisherman this book is amazing. It has excellent chapters from beginning to end on everything about fly fishing. The start of the book opens up with what you absolutely need to know before starting. Then as you progress and hone your skills there are numerous other chapters that really dive into everything about fly fishing from which type of flies to have in a standard or hatch match set to how to perfectly read the waterways that you are fishing to basic courtesies that you should practice while fishing with or around others. There is no price to large for this book. Amazing layout and so many pictures that you almost don't have to read the paragraphs ;-) Buy one now!
