If you love animes with action, adventure, comedy, heroism, lots of guys, and shounen-ai, then Kyo Kara Maoh! is the anime for you! It one of the best animes by far. The concept of the main character being sucked into another world where he is their destined ruler is very interesting, especially since everyone loves him. The theme of medieval worlds is very much similar to Fushigi Yugi, The Twelve Kingdoms, and Saiunkoku. And for all you fangirls, did I mention there's lots of different guys to choose from?
Kyo Kara Maoh is a variety-filled anime that fits different tastes. It is also out of print because its licensor Geneon is out of business, so get it while you can!

This is a good anime if you like Escaflowne. It shares similiar theme in that the main character is torn between our modern world and one of medevial fantasy. The show is moderately drawn nothing too ground breaking, but the main characters interesting story, becoming the king of an alternate world with magical powers, and trying to get out of his accidental engagement to another man, set against the coming of a world war is more than enough to keep you interested.
