Love it! The story was great and the background was beautiful, it really felt like an ancient Chinese city. This original story is one of the best since Shrek. And the meaning behind the story may be even better! The story is about Po, an overweight panda who is the son of a noodle maker, who dreams of Po following in his footsteps. But Po longs to be a ninja fighter. Po is as you know is a panda bear and the film's unlikely hero: as the bigger than life and completely lovable bear voiced by the comic genius Jack Black. Po is a Sweet but clumsy, bear who hears the news the ancient and long awaited dragon warrior will be named, so he runs (as much as he can) to hear who will be named at the celebration.
Without giving too much away, when an "accident" seems to name Po as the dragon warrior (much to the horror of Master Shifu (voiced perfectly by Dustin Hoffman) and the disappointment of Furious Five: Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Viper (Lucy Liu), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Crane (David Cross) and Monkey (Jackie Chan). Shifu must find a way to train him. One hilarious moment after another continues until Shifu recognizes Po's true driving force. This is just in time as the villain Tai Lung (Ian McShane), a snow leopard has returned as he believe is the true Dragon Warrior.
I can not recommend this movie enough. Certainly this is marketed for the kids – but the whole family will enjoy it

This is a fantastic story of overcoming great obstacles that anyone can learn a lesson from. Po, an overweight Panda, works every day in his family's noodle shop. His Father, Mr. Ping (voice of James Hong) eventually wants Po to take over the noodle shop, but Po has larger dreams. Little does he know that somehow fate will somehow befall him. He is soon chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy. Po joins the world of Kung Fu and begins to train with the Legendary - Furious Five - Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper, and Monkey. Shifu is the Kung Fu Master and wise trainer. Many events try and keep Po from becoming a true Dragon Warrior.

This heart warming tale of a lovable panda out to save the world from an evil cheetah instantly captures the heart of the audience no matter they are young or old. Some may not like the animation work in this age of robotic 3D animation "heehmm Wall-E" but the style fits in perfectly with the simple anime style with the added Chinese art background and a wonderful storyline.
The hilarious Panda will keep you laughing from the start till the end. A must watch:)

It's really nothing to throw at Madagascar, Over the Hedge or any of Pixar's animations but it's something different and a little interesting. Jack Black's talent for being hilarious is absolutely depleted in this film.

This is a great family movie...I really enjoyed the storyline...It wasn't your average cartoon that you get sucked into watching with your kids....I also loved the how the movie taught a lesson within it also....I will definitely watch this again.

Many people like and love this movie. I do love it, but I wouldn't give it 10 stars out of 10. I would give it an eight at the most. The reason why I'm giving it a rating of 5 is because I do think that it's a great movie, but it could have been longer and better. And by that, I meant that it could have gone on longer with more details, and let me tell you, I would want to watch more. I'm only disappointed that I don't know what happened to Tai Lung, but I do know from Wikipedia that there's a second part coming. And I love the friendships closeness between teachers and their students in this movie, for in Asian culture, respect to your teacher(s) is top priority! And I cried over the part in which the Master Turtle (I don't know how to spell his name^o^) dies, for while some may think that it's corny, I think it's quite beautiful and sad and peaceful! So, yes, this movie is wonderful and awesome with wonderful Asian background, and I love that the story is in China!

The bonus features add quite a bit to the DVD, and are going to be seen more than one by a young viewer.
Additionally, the voices of the Furious Five, and Po the Panda were well cast!
The only voice that I could really 'hear' and visualize the 'human' behind was that of Jack Black's. The others including Angelina Jolie and Jackie Chan melded right into their characters!
A fun film, not too short and not too long... Plus what appears to be actual Kung Fu concepts placed into the film!
However, I still hear that song 'Everyone Was Kung Fu Fighting...' as I end this review, LOL !

I thought the movie was really great,I would recommend to others for holiday gifts, or if you have a child who has a birthday coming up. It is great for the family to watch as it very entertaining for adults and children. All the characters like po the panda,viper the snake, tigress the tiger, monkey , crane, and mantis all played there parts well.

This movie was a CLEAN MOVIE & I loved that. Kids watch too much JUNK. I love how it's a movie about believing in your self. You can do anything if you believe & have confidence. I think subconsciously a kid will understand that. LOVED IT!!Great Movie.
