Kovels' Depression Glass & Dinnerware Price List

I have owned this book for several years now & while I will say I use it quite often, I still feel I should give it a 4/5 instead of 5/5.

The book covers a combination of Depression Glass & Dinnerware. I think they do a pretty good job of covering alot of ground on the Depression Glass. The problem I have had with the glass sometimes is being able to identify by the one small picture of each design. It is listed alphabetically by name. If you don't already know the name of the pattern you have to look thru all of them. For the dinnerware, there are just so many varieties out there that you really need a book that stands alone. Even a book for each company might be the most ideal situation. Kovel covers Blue Ridge, Franciscan, Hall, Homer Laughlin, & Syracuse China, to name a few. There are 14 pages of full color pictures, I really like those, it helps to see the pieces in color. The other place I think the book lacks is in the pricing guide. I really feel they have the prices set higher than todays market will really bear. If you are using the book for reference to sell on Ebay, be prepared that you won't get close to what they are quoting most of the time. There are always exceptions for sure, but for the most part,not. The book has 244 pages. For the price it's not a bad reference book. Enjoy!
