Konvicted [PA] by Akon (CD, Nov-2006, Universal Records USA)

Man, Akon is everywhere these days. With good reason. He's the perfect blend of thuggery and smooth vocals, a singer with street cred. I enjoyed his first album immensely (Pot of Gold was my favorite track) and this second effort is more of the same...a good thing in this case!

In "The Rain," Akon asks "How am I gonna back my first album up?" Well, he took the same formula and honed it to near-perfection. The first two singles, "I wanna love you" and "Smack that" are doing very well on airplay and digital download. There is no way to definitively classify the album, as there are songs for all moods and people. There are club hits such as the aforementioned singles, there are street songs (Gangsta bop, Blown away), love/hate songs (Never took the time, Don't matter) and feel-good music (Mama Africa).

All in all, I'm extremely satisfied with this album and a budding Konvict fan. Well-done, Akon.

This CD is good. I only like the few songs that were popular on the radio and the rest of the CD I could do without, but in general it is good.

i love the beats. i hate there aren't more songs on the album. i chose to buy b/c i'm a fan of his music.

It is street wise real Music. By a Guy who been there. I relate to This Artist, and his music. It tells about the artist life and most of the lyrics are true events, you would have to have lived it to understand it. I understand it to a "T".

i really dont mind the perental advisaory how ever if you do have kid's you wait for them to grow up before you can explain it to them . unlik my neices they are 8 years old and i am always telling there mom no

i bought for my grandson. i bought because it is his birthday. i don't know this artist but my grandson does. the delivery was fast and arrived in good condition. yes, i would buy another cd from this seller.

I love akon and his music. the cd is great. Because I have heard it long time ago. My friends and I like to jam out. Thats why i bought it

I like the cd it has good songs on it. It was in excellent condition. No scratches. The case was also in good shape.

This is one of my favorite cds. Akon does an amazing job on this cd. I highly recomend this cd.This Cd has Smack That and i wanna love you, These songs have been very popular and Very good. The edted is alot cleaner and still has the sound.

inexpensive and brand new! it was still in the packaging like the seller said. The seller was accurate and very fast with the shipping!

I liked this CD, but it isn’t one of my absolute favorites. There are only a few good songs on the CD. Most of the good songs on the CD were very popular on the radio. My favorite songs are Smack That and Don’t Matter. My favorite song of Akon’s is Right Now (Na,Na, Na) but this song is not on the CD. I would recommend buying his newest CD.

Purchased this CD for my daughter. Only 2 good songs on this CD, definitely not worth purchasing. After hearing his songs on the radio, daughter relly wanted his CD, unfortunately the 2 songs they always play on the radio, are the only 2 good songs on this CD.

This cd has alot of obscene lyrics. Not that many hits on it as well.
Wish I hadnt bought it, I am ashamed.

The CD I ordered came very quickly and although I haven't actually listened to it yet , looks to be in perfect condition.

This is a very good CD. I really enjoy the songs. I can not wait until his next! I have listened to all the song and they have very nice beats. He is a true artist!

ackon has done a remarkable and outstanding job on this album, it gives you a definite understanding of that type of rap music. excellent album

Good album. Has some great tracks, my favorites are track 1 & 7. It was a little more "popy" than I hoped, thought maybe some more tracks along the line of 1 &7, however the rest are catchy, and the album is definitely worth the spend.

I never recieve the purchase, I havent had a problem before but this is my last time purchasing off here.

I bought it for my husband but there was only 1 or 2 good songs so we sold it right away. Not worth 15.oo Come on Akon dont make me Smack that!!
