Wonderful pre-digital SLR

I owned this model for 17 years, and I LOVED it. It spoiled me with its fast autofocus and 3 fps shooting ability. I cannot speak highly enough about this camera, and have only now finally switched to digital. I hope I don't regret it.

Absolutely the best digital camera in the market for the serious photographer or weekend warrior. If you want an instantmatic it will be one. If you want to be creative with light, depth, and subjects this is it also.

Bought the camera as a back-up to another 8000i that I gave to my niece as a 'gift' for her graduation. It was mine but I used it for only 2 rolls of film before putting it in storage as I did not have time to fully utilize it. Felt that she could use it more than I did as she successfully used the 7000i I had given her father for her thesis and graduated cum laude.
Have always loved the Minolta cameras as they almost always produced excellent pictures for me considering how careless I am about picture taking. Now own digitals but they are not the same as the film cameras and mainly use them for the convenience factor but not really for their artistic merit.
