Rapid AF focuses on your subject in approx. 0.4 seconds at 10x optical zoom, and is even faster at wider angles. In terms of comfort during shooting, only 35mm film cameras come close. The superior speed and accuracy of Rapid AF comes from its innovative hybrid design, the combination of a passive sensor and video AF. Further accuracy is provided by the camera's wide 3-point focusing area.Even if your subject is far away, you can bring it in closer to fill the frame with Mega Zoom. This extra-wide 40x zoom range offers tremendous possibilities with shot composition. Mega Zoom is composed of two parts. Its VGA recording mode (640 x 480, 30fps) delivers four times the resolution and twice the frame rate of the QVGA recording used by conventional digital cameras. That means stunning movie clips with camcorder-like quality. During movie recording, Konica Minolta's advanced autofocus technology keeps your subject in focus for excellent results. Afterwards, you can use the movie frame capture function to save any frame in your movie as a still shot.The DiMAGE Z1 features a 3.2 megapixel CCD sensor with a primary color filter to ensure high color fidelity. The images you capture will be detailed enough to turn into large-size prints: 17 cm x 13 cm (7 inches x 5 inches) at 300dpi printer resolution, or an even bigger 35 cm x 26 cm (14 inches x 10 inches) at 150dpi resolution.It takes more than a lot of pixels to make a great digital image... you need rich colors as well. To satisfy this need, CxProcess II delivers image after image with lush, vivid colors and minimal noise. CxProcess II is the latest version of Konica Minolta's acclaimed image processing technology. However, the DiMAGE Z1 offers an outstanding solution in such situations, thanks to its advanced noise reduction circuitry.
