I bought this lens for a trip that I was taking to Mexico and I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. The lens is extremely sharp, fairly-fast focusing, and the wide-open stop provides excellent results in low-light conditions on my Sony A 100 camera, It isn't a zoom lens, nor is it a super-telephoto. However, when matched to a Sony X2 adapter provides excellent 400-mm shots even in low light. With the camera's anti-shake enabled I am able to get good shots hand-held at 1/60th.
