Kodak EASYSHARE Z712 IS 7.1 Megapixel

I'm relatively new to the digital camera world; for years, I'd used the Canon AE1 35mm and loved its flexibility and durability. However, it was time to go digital...and I quickly outgrew the HP Photosmart that my husband bought as a package. I wanted a camera that offered good macro ability (especially for detail for ebay photos). I needed flexibility with lighting and other conditions. I wanted a fast shutter speed.

I found all of that and more in the Kodak EasyShare. I can use it in completely auto mode or go manual as much or as little as I want. And the digital downloads and photo editing capabilities of the software are great!

The only drawback (i.e. difference) between this camera and the digital Canons (besides a lot of extra $$$) is that you cannot manually focus the lens. For someone who's used to doing that, it takes a little bit to get used to having the camera do the work.

Battery life is exceptional; I would recommend buying the extra memory and gadgets - because you'll find yourself using it more than you think possible!

For the price, this is a high quality camera that can take professional looking pictures. I was very happy about it until something happened and the screen is just not working.

This is the best camera for the money. I wanted a high zoom and the ability to crop pictures for developing. I love that it has the information about each different aspect of shooting the right way. It tells you on screen what I will get if I use a certain option on the dial. I am really happy I found this on ebay

I bought my new Kodak camera because after 5 years of using my last Kodak, it finally gave up. I can't say enough good things about the Kodak Z712 IS. The pictures all come out great. I would havw given an excellent except for its poor low light capability. Has great funtions. I love its burst and vidio. Easy to use and good menus. I got a great bargin and only paid $110 for a store demo but I don't know if I would pay the full $250 retail price. The only issue I have with the camera is that every once in a while the picture is out of focus. Maybe somthing I am doing wrong?

I love this camera. It takes great shots, and has an awesome zoom. This camera is well worth the money and remember that you can hook it up to the Eastshare printer dock which will save you tons of money from having to go and have your pictures printed elsewhere.

I love everything about this item, works,well and is easy to you, wish the pictures were clearer on zoom though. Otherwise smart purhace.

The difference between this and my C643 (both are Kodak of course)is unreal, more picture taking options, the view finder can be used just like the LCD if you prefer, you see everything threw the view finder you would see on the LCD, auto focus, zoom, which mode you are in, ect
The seller is quick to respond to and questions you may have,(like within 12 hours or so), mine had the wrong lens cover (a minor problem) but I was taken care of very quickly and politely< it was Kodaks mistake but the took care of it for me, no charge, talk about customer service.

Easy to learn how to use it, great pictures, nice packaging and has all the items you need to get yourself started right out of the box! Great indoor and outdoor pictures, the small indicator icons on the camera are easy to understand. I love this camera!!! It has been too long since I have had a good camera. I was sick and tired of being disappointed in the way my photos turned out--i.e. coloring, blur, etc...Not only does this camera take beautiful photos--it is also extremely easy to use. It is bigger than the normal little 35 mm cameras, but it is very light weight and easy to hold. I can't say enough good things about this camera. I am a seller on ebay and with this camera my photos have improved 100%. Most of the photos I took before I bought this camera were very poor--and in most cases didn't do any justice for the items I was trying to sell. The camera that I purchased was a great deal. It takes excellent pictures. I only wish that it had come with a rechargable battery as well as a charger.

I had a Kodak DX6950 and really liked the kodak menu style. So I upgraded to the Z712. I really like this one.My son bought one,too and I gave one to my daughter and I got this one for some friends of mine who wanted a nice camera.the Z712 has a lot of Great features. L would highly recomend the rechargeable lithiom batteries as AAs don't last very long. Happy snapping!!!!

This is a great starter camera. You can set it on Auto & point & shoot
or spend some time learning the other setting & produce better pictures.
This camera was so easy to use that I have taught my 5 year old to 'Point & Snap'.

Product I received is not what I expected. The zoom is not very efficient. Pictures are not too clear either.

I like everything about it, I bought it for the price but it's a super camera.
The camera holds almost a thousand pictures at 7.1 megapixels and has a lot of setting to choose from to meet ant photo needs.

An excellent choice for a small, light weight DSLR with lots of optical zoom. Lots of features and bang for the buck. The only downside is that there is some noticable noise at higher resolution when the ISO is set above 400.

After winning this bid and recieving payment, the seller promptly sent the camera out to me. I was out of town at the time and was going to meet up with my daughters in CA and really needed this camera. When they informed me it had arrived, they were able to bring it to me and I was able to begin using it right away. I would recommend this seller to anyone. Thanks for the great job.

Just got the camera, so i havent had the chance to take a variety of photos yet. The ones i have taken came out nice. One bad thing, is how quickley the double AA batteries get used up.

VERY EXCELLENT CAMERA AND EASY TO USE. VERY REASONABLE PRICED. THE ONLY DRAW BACK WERE THE LENS ON THE CAMERA. THE SLIGHTEST BUMP OF TOUCH OF THE CAMERA THE LENS WILL COME OFF.OVERALL I WOULD RATE THIS A VERY EXCELLENT CAMERA. THE SUPPORT FOR THE CAMERA IS VERY EXCELLENT.

My wife was after me to take pictures of the birds in our backyard. I needed more zoom and thought this camera might give it to me without having to step up to the slr with attachable lens. The review is mixed. The camera will take good pictures but not quite enough zoom to make my wife happy. I suggested she bring the birdfeeders closer, but what do I know. As far as the purchse through ebay, everything went fine.
