Kodak EASYSHARE Z1285 12.0 Megapixel

Out of all of the cameras I have ever owned, this is probably one of the best. It has loads of great features including a dozen different settings for a great picture. Includes 5x optical zoom for getting close to an object still with a good quality image. The LCD screen is nice and bright even in the bright sunlight. Takes only 2x AA batteries which last for several hours (as long as you are using rechargeable batteries). The HD Video is fantastic, comes out nice, bright and clear, as well as good sound. Although the camera is nice well, built and stable; Unfortunately, this camera happens to be in the bulky camera family. It does not have a good grip or place to hold without accidentally pressing buttons. The cameras picture quality if very good, but is probably no different than a standard 5 megapixel EasyShare camera. The 12 megapixels are only good if you are going to use them for very large prints. This is also not a great camera for closeup macro photos. It will usually start going blurry, or refuse to auto-focus when the object is within about 10 inches......... With all of that said, if you are the type for taking good outdoor landscape photos, or perhaps portrait photos, I would definitely recommend this camera. Hope this review helps;....Harry.

Very happy with the camera. Has some excellent qualities that a person with a lot of experience can use. Similarly, the camera is an excellent point and shoot camera with a very easy to use, auto option. The camera does use batteries up much faster than expected. Outside that, the came does EVERYTHING I expected it to do. Great clarity and high resolution. If you need to take photos fast, this camera can drag a little "processing" before you get another chance to shoot. Doesn't happen on the first couple photos but press the button several times quickly, it will take a moment to make it happen. Overall, I am very happy for cost to value.

the kodak easyshare z1285 was great camera because i wnated something that had at least 12 megapixels, a great screen, a at least a 5x optical zoom. i am very pleased with all. i intially wanted a 3in. screen. this one is a 2.5in., but i can't tell a bit of difference since the quality is so good. i would defintely recomend getting rechargable batteries, because 10 minutes of playing with it and the AA batteries that came with it were burned out. it is a great and convenient size. it is EASY TO USE!!! i didn't have to look at the directions for anything. i is "self explanitory". another thing it is a GREAT "BANG FOR YOUR BUCK"!!!!!

I relly like it. Very simple to use. I had a 4 megapixel Kodak that worked very well but this one works 3 times better. The only thing is itt does not have an instruction manual that goes into more details on how to get the full use of it-Just a users guide that does not explain everything.

this is my first digital cam, very nice, i only rate it good cause i haven't had any other to compare it too. i like the fact you can use a sd card in it, take pictures and transfer to computer. the dock is nice push a button and print. wish it wasn't so hard on batterys, dock charges them when it isnt in use, and the pictures are clear, the three times zoom is ok for normal pictures. i haven't figured it out completly but so far so good.

for a kodak camera, this is very good. easy to use features are good but limited. the quality of the pictures can range from good to excellent depending on how well you stabilize the camera and how and when you snap the picture. lighting and color also varies based on camera auto focus and its supposed stabilization feature. overall, not disappointed with the camera at all, but it could have been a little better; but hey, for the price and what it offers, it's well worth it.

The name easyshare says it right, it is easy to operate. It has met my expectations.
I bought it because it had the fectures that I wanted and I respect the Kodak name.

Easy to use, I opened the box and put in the batteries and started shooting! (Of course I didn't read the instructions, I'm a man!) The printer prints decent pics, if you really want super good quality, or bigger sizes than 4 X 6, then take them to Kinko's or WalMart or your local 1 hr photo. The pics themselves are extremely high quality, I mean portrait quality! I think the German lens doesn't hurt. I bought a few rechargeable batteries and a charger at Walmart for 20 bucks so I will always have charged batts, the ones that come with the camera are alkaline and only last a little while. I also bought an AC adapter on Ebay (14 bucks) so If I wanted to shoot a movie then I would be able to use AC power. I am very happy with it!

I love the camera and its over make. The 12.0 is a great addition to the camera along with the other pixels you can adjust from the 12.0. I also love the awesome finish with the finish and how the picture looks after its taken. The only thing that bothers me is how the quality of the LCD on the camera. It's a high definition camera for the pictures, I would have loved if the LCD had a high definition screen so you can see the picture as it would look on a computer rather than having to look on the computer to actually see it. Other than that. the camera is fine and a great purchase to have for an awesome price.

I wanted another Kodak as thay can share the battery and internal memory card. Thia new one is much smaller and can fit in a pocket.

I REALLY LOVE THIS CAMERA, SO EASY TO USE AND TAKES PICTURES THAT LOOK JUST LIKE A PROFESSIONAL. IF YOU ADD THE EASYSHARE PRINTER DOCK YOU HAVE A PAIR THAT CAN'T BE BEAT. NOT TO PUT PHOTO SHOPS OUT OF BUSINESS BUT YOU CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE WHEN THE PHOTO IS PRINTED ON THE KODAK PAPER. COULDN'T REALLY ASK FOR MUCH MORE FROM A SMALL CAMERA AND PRINTING DOCK.

The size is perfect--features are easy to see and reach.The only thing i dont like is that there is no view finder which is a mistake on my behalf for not reading all pages and i will add is quite in detail and easy to follow just dont know how i missed that.
This is my first (digital) to own,this may be the reason i didnt look for it but overall its a lot of camera for the money.
I like the 2-1/2 screen,the controls are just where they belong and the card has its own little door (DAM GREAT IDEA).Would i purchase another, yes w/out prograstinating and w/a view.

I have no complaints with this camera. Excellent lens, and actually easier to use then the coolpix L3 that I gave to my son.

I ordered a Kodak Easyshare Z1285 The camera was refurfbished.
I followed the instructions and put the batteries into the camera but the camera would not work. I tried several sets of battries, still no luck.
The gear that drives the lens in and out would not work. The camera is useless. I tried to contact the seller but they have not replied to my e-mails. I think I should have my money returned or at least get a replacement that works.

Bought it for a Christmas present for my girlfriend. See loves it. Price was great! The extras were great too!

I love this camera. It is so easy to use, and takes beautiful pictures. I had priced this camera in retail stores and found it to be a little high. I then decided to search ebay. I couldn't refuse the deal for the price. I would definately recommend this camera.

this Eeasyshare z1285 camera is'nt much bigger than a pack of cigaretts and it will do everything. the video is great,as is the still shots...this is all the camera anyone would ever need....

All good, the only thing I don't like is the on camera speaker does not play back recorded videos very loudly. When played on a computer it's great, but the speaker itself on the camera is poor quality.

We had an HP Photosmart 850 digital camera for several years before it started croaking. We looked around for a while. We wanted at least 10 megapixel with zoom and video capability. I read several reviews of this camera. All said the picture quality was great but some said the video quality was not that good. Compared to the video quality on a camera we've been using (Kodak EasyShare V1003) this one was much better in low light conditions. We are very satisfied with our purchase. It does take great pictures very quickly. The video processes almost instantly. The video is slightly shaky but not so bad as long as you hold your hand steady. I would recommend this camera to someone looking for a good bargain and great quality pictures. It's very small and lightweight as well. Great bargain with all the extras too!

I have been watching this camera for several months on another website waiting for the price to drop and it finally became affordable. I bought it from a seller on eBay because of the free gifts included. This thing does more than you can ever imagine, the features are endless and the picture quality is fantastic! I love being able to take a snapshot from a video, this is especially handy if you have small children who won't sit still for a photo, just record them on video, find a frame you like and take the picture you want. The perfect touch feature is also great for doing an automatic touch up on your photos. If you want good quality photos and a great price and an easy to use camera, this is the one to get!

I purchased this for my own use. It is great, compact and user friendly. The price was great with all the extras made the purchase worth it.
