This book was one of my favorites of all time! I love a good hstorical fiction. That woven into a wacky family held my attention all the way through. I recommend it to everyone! I can't wait for Wally Lamb's next book!

The book started off pretty slow, was about a quarter of the way through it before it became interesting at all. Very strong language throughout. Definitely would not suggest it to a friend, maybe an enemy.
