Outstanding metal. A must have!!!

This is easily one of the best hard metal CDs I've ever heard. If you like early Slayer, Nuclear Assault, Metallica, Sepultura, etc., or if you like the newer metal like Hatebreed, Lamb of God, etc., you simply have to hear this CD. Frontman Dax Riggs's voice is haunting and smooth on the slower tempo songs like the incredible "Scream of the Butterfly". The rest of the CD is a nonstop sledgehammer to the face. "The Blue" has so many riffs and tempo changes that Metallica in their "every song has to be 20 minutes long with 100 different riffs" And Justice For All phase would be proud. "Cheap Vodka is fast and brutal and leads into the outstanding "Finger Paintings of the Insane". The bass intro in that song is awesome. Other stand-out tracks are: "Tranquilized", The Morticians Flame", and "Toubabo Koomi" (which they made a video for. You can find it on their "Double Live Bootleg DVD"). The entire CD is great though and a must have!
Acid Bath's second and final full length release before they unfortunately disbanded, "Paegan Terrorism Tactics", is a much more polished CD and has more of a Pantera kind of sound to it. Especially the first track, "Paegan Love Song". But it is still an excellent CD as well.
Also check out Goatwhore, Soilent Green, Exhorder, Eyehategod and other bands from the excellent and brutal Louisiana metal scene.
Dax went on to front "Agents of Oblivion" for one great release and now is the frontman for the two piece "White Stripes" clone band "Deadboy and the Elephantmen" complete with a female drummer and everything. Deadboy's music is interesting and pretty good after a few listens, but if you're expecting it to sound anything like Acid Bath, you'll be disappointed.
Buy "When The Kite String Pops" immediately. What are you waiting for? Do it NOW!!!
