The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini (2004, Paperback, Reprint)

I really enjoyed this book. It opened my eyes to another way of life set in the sixties in Afghanistan. It helped me to understand the atrocities the people there have been put through. It really enforced my love for life in our country. All that aside, it is a truly interesting book written in an almost prose like style that held me captivated and looking for another book by the same author as soon as I finished it.
