The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn (2006)

This book has been a favorite of my daycare kids for about 5 years. Chester Raccoon is headed to school, and is feeling a little lonely and apprehensive knowing his mom will not be with him. In fact, he is quite resistant about having to leave his friends and toys. His mom comes up with the cutest solution of how to keep her near him even when he is alone, and he makes it through the day (or rather, the NIGHT) at school with flying colors.
The story line is adorable, the illustrations are precious. And most of all, a fearful, reluctant child will know that Mommy will always love him or her even when Mommy is not right there after reading this endearing book about Chester Raccoon.
This book is well worth purchasing and keeping in your home, daycare, preschool, or school library. I hope you and your kids enjoy it as much as my daycare kids and I have enjoyed ours!
Sincerely,
Mrs. skywalker_track
