I was on a long fight to Chicago, and stopped in the book store for a simple read. Bought M.C. Beatons The Perfect Paragon, and have been hooked ever since. I bought a used copy of Kissing Christmas goodbye from ebay and have purchased all the other novels I can. This is a fun xmas mystery and took me right to my own fantasy christmas. Love all her books. Some more than others enjoy the read.

This book was excellant. M.C. Beaton is one of my favorite authors. The stories are an easy read, just take a few hours. Agatha is up to her old tricks trying to rope in James. But, this time Agatha has outgrown James and is ready to move on. Also looks like her new assistant has found love and may continue to be a character in the books, a refreashing new assition. One seller was quick to send the item and the book arrived in great condition.

) M.C. Beaton writes a superb British Cozy Mystery. The Characters develop through the course of the series and you come to know the entire village and their antics. Perfect for Fun Light reading. A total distraction from cares.

agatha raisin, a wonderful 50 something englishwoman.Marion Chesney, the author is also known as M. C. Beaton. She writes this Agatha Raisin englishwoman sleuth series of books and also the Hamish Macbeth series. She is a wonderful mystery writer, capturing just the right amount of british eccentricity in her main character, a 50 something, lovelorn, crabby yet tender hearted sleuth named Agatha Raisin. Agatha is a handful to the community in the cotswolds that she has settled in, and the surrounding characters are full of a zest for life that is captivating. Their relationships to Agatha are delightfully funny and really capture the life of the community in which Agatha lives. I love this book series as well as her Macbeth books. Marion Chesney along with Deborah Crombie another british mystery writer are the absolute best of the many english mystery writers I have read over the last few years.
