Kiss and Make-Up by Gene Simmons (2001, Hardcover, Illustrated)

I'm a long time fan, but never got around to reading Gene's books. This one is written very simply. Gene's memories about childhood in some aspects is awesome. All in all, it was a good read...managed it in about two days. The only reason I rated it down was the constant bashing of Ace and Peter. At least once in every chapter there was an issue with one or the other of them. I would have preferred Gene stick with Gene...make a statement and be done with it. I'm not saying Ace and Peter don't deserve it, but we didn't need all the gory details. I would have like to hear more about life on the road, and more personal details and memories. No Gone With The Wind, but a good read all in all. Got it for a great price in good condition. Would have been a bit disappointed to have paid full price.

My book arrived in very good condition, almost new. It also tells about Gene's life from his childhood on up til now, or atleast the date that he published it. It is so very informative about the man behind the music. It recalls some of the reason's that he is the way that he is.

Gene is outspoken....and loves himself and money. He has a awesome sense of humor. He has awesome memory recall. See, don't be a drinker or smoker !! Gene can be blunt. His sex stories move super quick, as if a hamburger drive-thru. Ace and Pete get their fair share of punches. Paul is an angel....oooohhhhh boy.....talk about religious favor. Oh yeah, Gene is an angel too in all this. A hard working, from poverty Isreal, to New York dumbfoundednesss. Cute Gene. He writes quite good, but it's very biased. Like a con man carnival barker thing.

This book is amazing, i cant stop of reading it, Gene tell us ALL the storys about the greatest band ib the world!! my favorite of all time., since i'm chil, this book is fundamental to any members of the KISS army family

After of their graduated from High School, They're begins a singers with a KIZZ, They make them a successfully it. They're worker harder, harder, harder for their money is neediest it. Now, They are moved to California, He was not have any wife and girlfriends because of they never have times, But He has a slept with 5,000 womanizer. He was met with his new girlfriend from the Playboy, He told her that he was never getting a married because of it was not working and budget money, He always refused it because of he was too afraid it. His girlfriend have a accepted with him for their life. and They're still together it but never MARRIED it. He was bought it for his first timer home in the Beverly Hills, He will never moving to another house, He wanted to stays it because of his own hometown where he was bought it. He needed to saves his money for their kids or their futures plans..

I'm very excitedly to reading it soo interesting it! Gene Simmons and his family was soo awesome!

I loved this book because it was a reality check for anyone who loves rock 'n' roll. An absolute must have for KISS and Gene Simmons fans!!!

The whole story was exciting. I'm a huge Kiss fan and this book explained alot about things I've always been curious about.

An excellent read and very interesting insight into Gene "the Demon" and the start of his humble beginnings and his rise to super fame in KISS. Open and honest, he tells his story in a very easy to understand style for anyone. I recommend it to KISS fans and anyone who likes a good human interest story of the American Dream.
