The film was shot in 3-D, but theater owners at the time it was released had the option of choosing either the 3-D version, or the normal 2-D.
The film version of the musical play added one extra song "From This Moment On."
Vocal supervisor was Robert Tucker.
Bob Fosse, who later became an Academy Award-winning, Tony Award-Winning, Emmy Award-Winning director and choreographer, choreographed his own dance in the song "From this Moment On."
Jeanne Coyne, one of the "specialty dancers," became Gene Kelly's wife.
