Kirby G4 Upright Cleaner

I have owned a Kirby generation 4 vacuum for over 10 years now. It has lasted me far longer than my marriage and I made sure to take it with me when we parted. I am an animal lover and I was first introduced to this vacuum at a time when I had three indoor cats, and one indoor dog. I thought that I was getting a good deal to have the kirby guy come and clean part of my carpet for free, but when he showed me how the system worked, I couldn't live without it. The suction power on this vacuum is amazing. It has many settings, but you generally lower it to two clicks below it obvoiusly grabbing at the shag of your carpet. Once it is running you can really feel the suction in the carpet and it grabs at everything. I was told, and I am a firm believer, that the suction is so great that it actually grabs dirt from teh pad beneath the carpet itself. I love that is vacuum is self-propelled, vacuuming is a breeze, even with a kid on your hip. It comes with many tools, all of which I have found a use for over time. It has a indestructable hose, with two length extenders and every attachment that you could imagine. The best thing about this vacuum is the carpet cleaning attachment. I have four kids and ramdom pets, and I am constantly cleaning up poop, puke, paint, juice, etc. With ease I am able to attachmy carpet cleaner and clean the messes before they can leave a stain. I once used this vacuum to clean a gallon of white paint out of teal green carpet and though it took me a week of repetative cleaning, I was able to get out every drop of paint to where you couldn't even tell that it had been there in the first place. ( Which was a lifesaver, considering it was a rental!) Even better than the carpet cleaner is the upholstry cleaning attachment. I use it to de-kid my furniture, stairs, car interior, etc. Best of all it is hardly any work at all. You jsut spray with teh solution adn I usually use a scrub brush to get anything that is stuck on and then I rub with a towel. It air dries quickly and leaves my upholstry like new. Best of all is the entertainment value of this vacuum. When I clean the carpet my kids all come running. They love to play in the bubbles! If I didn't already have a profession I would sell these vacuumes. I am a firm believer in all that they claim and more. The vacuum bags are easy to install and keep all the dust contained. You will never regret purchasing this vacuum!!!
