King's Quest Collection (PC Games, 2006)

I have grown up with these games, more specifically KQ2, 4, 5, and 6. When I was growing up the games really helped my reading skills, as you have to type the commands into the game. I bought the collection because it brings back many memories, in addition to the games being classic.

This game contains the King's Quest games 1-7. What makes this package so great is that you can play these games on windows 2000 or xp, because otherwise you would need to find an original copy and inferior computer like windows 3.1 to play them. The games do tend to have a few glitches, especially in color, but they're typically easy to ignore. I bought this package because I missed playing these games since my windows 3.1 died. If you would like to explore the origins of adventure gaming, or just simply like old school adventure games, then King's Quest Collection is a must buy!

I love these classic games, but there were a few glitches in the game (not just on this one, but on most of the ones that were remade for Windows XP). There are ways to fix the problems, so it all works out. It's a great compilation for anyone who loves RPG games!!!

I wanted to buy the old King's Quest games because I used to play them as a kid and wanted to relive it! I was previously aware there could be a few technical issues with this game and Windows, but so far I have had minimal trouble with it! What trouble I did have was fixable by Googling the issue or visiting dosbox.com!

A waste of money. The graphics are from the early days of computing and nearly unplayable. Tried changing the screen resolution to 800x600 still looked horrible. The sounds are an absolute joke too. Nothing but little tones from the Atari days. Thankfully I backed up before installing so I could dump it off my system. Be warned, you'll be sorry you bought it unless you're into the early 80's stuff.

I forgot what I used to think of Sierra when I bought this new compilation of the "King's Quest" games. They work - but there's always a problem. This one is supposed to run the old DOS and 3.1 games on XP - maybe. Sometimes. Oh well, there IS a reason for Sierra not producing any more games in the past several years.

Played KQ7 many years ago and found it so much fun, don't quite remember how to play it, but hopefully I can figure it out soon enough. I just love the game's entertainment part most of all.

This is the complete collection from the very first to the seventh and final quest. It plays a lot faster on my current machine than my Commodore 64!
