Had dvd before and let someone borrow it and never got it back.
was glad to get another copy for my collection.
appericated the fast service.

Loved the movie. The action and storyline was enough to want me to buy the DVD so I can watch over and over.

Great story based somewhat on factual events. It shows the good and bad side of religions and the toll on individuals who claim there is a GOD, no matter which version is believed.

This movie is a good reinvention of the crusades. Most of the events and people are accurate, including the gore. The crusades were incredibly too gory but I can handle gore in doses. I had to hide from some scenes but now that I've watched it through thoroughly once I'll be good. Definitely not a kid's movie either. And I enjoy Orlando Bloom in this movie because he acts like a man. Enjoy =]

Director Ridley Scott confronts hundreds of years of religious conflict in KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. An epic film set in Europe and the Middle East, the story follows one man's struggle to better himself and the world around him. Orlando Bloom stars as Balian, a French blacksmith who is mourning the deaths of his wife and baby when his estranged nobleman father (Liam Neeson) arrives and asks him to join the Crusades in Jerusalem. Mindful that conducting the Lord's work will help him atone for his sins, Balian agrees, and embarks on the perilous journey. Along the way, he reveals his gifts of inherent goodness and fair treatment of all human beings. Upon reaching Jerusalem, a city where his meager beginnings no longer matter, Balian earns respect and fealty, while the evil Guy de Lusignan (Marton Csokas) looks down his aristocratic nose at the former laborer. As he did in GLADIATOR, Scott explores the theme of a man who chooses his fate, instead of accepting the fate given to him at birth. Balian comes to life in Jerusalem, protecting the weak and defenseless as his father told him he must, and catching the eye of the beautiful Princess Sibylla (Eva Green), unhappily married to de Lusignan. Scott paints a stirring portrait of the struggle over Jerusalem among Christians, Jews, and Muslims. In doing so, he also shows the passionate fight for religious freedom. KINGDOM OF HEAVEN ably handles these delicate issues, effectively treating characters from all factions as individuals and not as stereotypes. By placing a virtuous man at the center of this conflict, Scott creates a powerful, universal story.

Unexpectedly excellent. Not my usual choice in movies, but I was into it from the first scene to the last. Watch it about 5 time already and know I will watch it again and again.

An excellent film about the city of Jeruselum back in 700 a.d.
It shows how one man can make a difference, a big difference
in the course of history. The first seller I bought this from
never shipped it, so I bought it twice, it's worth it.

I liked this movie since the first time i watched it. I just never got around to purchasing it until now. There's really nothing bad to say about a good movie.

Very accessible yet unflinchingly honest portrayal of the Crusades... Critics were wrong and I think this movie would make a great tool for teaching history to today's kids...

This, I felt, was an historically accurate movie in many ways, but especially as it related to the Crusades. Classic battles of the 2nd Crusades were depicted, as was the Muslim leader Saladin. Subtle details of Saldin's mercy as it related to the battle for Jerusalem were presented in what I felt was an accurate depiction.

Overall, I thought it was a great movie.

Worked just fine and have watched it many times. Came in the original wrapping which was awesome...

Excellent movie with several subplots working all at once.
Orlando Bloom is amazing, once again ! Loved his work in the Pirates trilogy
and The Hobbits movies too!! He is a rising star that has yet to reach is
peak ability and I am anxious to see his next work!
Another thinker movie that shows us all how sooo many millions have
died in the name of religion , but for man's greed and lust for power
over his fellow man. Seems that little has been learned in the past
thousand years...expect how to better and with greater capacity, kill
our fellow man in the name of God.
Worth buying and watching indeed. I have watched it at least a half dozen times
and still see things I missed previously. The Behind the Scenes disk shows
how detailed the sets where done and challenges cast and crew had to deal with filming in another country and remotes areas! I applaud them all !
Buy this , eat dinner in bed and enjoy this character study in motion!!

This is a very interesting movie. We love Orlando Bloom. The story line is a bit weak though the whole movie is great but the ending is very nonclimactic.

While the movie is not entirely accurate, the characters who are portrayed in the movie did live during that time and did participate in the siege and defense of Jerusalem. The movie has a lot of action and isn't over done. The characters are portrayed well and you even get a small history lesson. Over all is a good movie that deserves to be watched at least once.

The film is an incredible depiction of history repeating itself, I really wish George W. would have seen this film before he attempted to "finish his Daddy's Business" in Iraq. Futility of war, especially when religious overtones are thrown in are at the center of this great piece.

I like the fact that the item came fast. I want I dislike was the lack of description. There was a picture to see the item. The price was something I wish I shouldn't have paid. I brought this item because I wanted to see the extend version. I was very much disappoint when I saw the item. After, all I decide to keep it because I wasn't planning to use more money to send it back. Overall, I wish the seller would put move description. But I am happy with the item.

This to me is the greatest historical epic movie ever made that was made for itself and not a trilogy, series, etc. What I liked so much is not just the story and action and perfect lay out of talk, language, timing and directing of the movie, but also the "History Channels" take on Hollywood vs. History and other takes on the history of the events portrayed in this film. I fine DVD that I would strongly suggest you give a try to.

Hi, the movies are good.
Did not like to see that some were bought from a county library.
On the many movies I won the postage and handling charge was around
$ 36.00 (which was high)and the actual postage was $2.60.

It is authentic, somewhat true to history and the action and drama combination is great. Life in those ages were more intense for the children growing up religiously. The idea of all three religions co-existing in that era is disturbing because of the extremity of these different sects. Some were extreme, most, others just followed along just to survive. It gives me an interest in learning me of my heritage, and more in general about history.

this movie is a good movie, about a man trying to find is way,and redeem his dead wife, whom comitted suicied. he fights and loves. its a very good saturday night flick, with the popcorn.
