The Kingdom (HD DVD, 2007)

The Kingdom was pretty intense. The picture looked great(HD DVD) and the sound was top notch. If you're into high paced action and a story line that kept me interested all though the movie, then this movie should be a definite pick up.

I bought this on DVD when it came out in 2007 and waiting around on it for two years thinking it would be just another war film set in the middle east. Thinking it would be nothing far from ordinary and predictable. Then I watched it and Boy was I wrong. From the first ten minutes I was gripping the edge of my seat and reeled in until closing credits. Not many action films can I say gave me the same experience. Not only is the story engaging, script entertaining but the immense amounts of action really blew me away. I love the closing quote that really gets you contemplating after you leave the movie. This is some of the best war film you can see right now. I highly doubt you'll think anything less of amazing when you watch it.

An action filled movie with lots of intense battles that are shown in Saudi Arabia with a lengthy story line and a great performance by Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner.

Well done as probably an accurate depection of the situation and our relationship to the region. Either way, full of action and inspires pause for thought.

A fabulous cast, great Director and a story line that is all to possible.
The plot continues to thicken as the movie progresses, and the action is first class and very probable in these times. A movie made for our terrorist times.
You will hang on the edge of your seat, and not take breaks for pop or bathroom.
It is a first class action drama adventure. It could have been taken straight from the files of the CIA.

Great movie! Great story, great acting, Gives you a insight on what goes on, and how corrupt foreign places are. A must see! just get it!

I like the story and how it unfolds and knowing what will comw next. This film has an awesome action scene in the climax and the events that lead up to the climax are all intriguing and keep you interested in the movie.

It looked like a great movie. I was try to build my HD movie collection but sense they stopped making them I'm kinda screwed. O well it's still a great movie and I recommend it!

A modern day saving private ryan! so incredibly realistic to modern 'warfare' in the middle east. halfway thru the movie it all gets WILD all the way til the end!

This movie does not know whether it wants to be a crime thriller or an action movie. The first hour is a crime drama, but the last half hour is an action thriller. The movie worked in the action sequences, but was average as a crime drama.

When I went and saw this movie in the theatres, I was very optimistic. Wasn't sure what to expect but I was hoping it was good. The movie ended up being really really good. Its got great action scenes that are tense and edge of your seat stuff. The actors are great, great story, and it really touches on the serious side of the muslim faith. On HD-DVD, its even better. PIP special features included with online bonus features makes this a HD movie thats a must. 5 out of 5
