IMHO, this is the best of the classics, along with Sound of Music. Of course, you may disagree since I doubt your taste will be exactly like mine. But if you like musicals, this is one of the better ones suited for the whole family. They definitely haven't made them like this for probably 60 years.

This has been one of our favorite movies and we think it is the best of all the versions . And this DVD is one of best we have ever seen . We had a copy of it on tape but The DVD is so much better almost like seeing in the movies. If you like this movie try this DVD set

I liked that The King and I came on time (I had ordered it for Christmas)and that it was NEW!!!...exactly what I paid for!!! It was less expensive than if I had bought it at the MALL...they wanted way toooo much!!!

This movie is so poignant in showing the love a king has for his people and

) This is a great movie...bought it for my granddaughter. She enjoys musicals and this was one I felt she would like...being only 11 years old she had never heard of it before. She has watched it several times and loves it!!!

I am on a Best Picture Winner for each year kick. This was one of them. I LOVED this movie. Wonderfully beautiful. Must say that I wish it had ended different, but maybe the end is why it is so wonderful! Yul Brynner was incredible in this part. This is a must see movie. Never once was I bored!

I bought this movie for my mom for Christmas. It arrived there a few days after Christmas and she watched it and said it was in very good shape with good quality. I am not a fan of musicals so I can't give a good review.

TIMELESS BEAUTIFUL MUSICAL CLASSICEverything has already been said about this film. What is there not to like? The music, songs, colors, scenery, and acting ~ Especially Yul Brynner, someone who's aura was greater than life ~ EXCELLENT. If you love musicals, like my young girl does... This is an absolute MUST for your collection.

The King and I has always been a favorite movie/play of mine. I love the music and Yul Brynner and Deborah Kerr are the ONLY King and Anna in my world. This anniversary release got my attention at the local retailer but I hated the price. I found this one, new, here on my favorite eBay for ten dollars less, including shipping. I totally enjoyed watching it the night I got it and AWESOME SURPRISE: This version has just the music OR, equally cool, a karaoke version with lyrics! I am in Siam heaven with this version. May the King and Anna Dance eternally!

The Hollywood Musical at its best.I have loved this movie since i first saw it as a little boy in the movies. Until VCRs came round i would see it every year in special revivals on Rodgers and Hammerstein movies. Until the Sound of Music I feel its the best movie adaption of a Broadway show ever made.
Ok Maybe West Side Story also. The score is magnificent as we know but the dialogue is so fascinating in every scene. This movie would be great even without thememorable music and lyrics. Even though Deborah Kehr doesnt sing much she is magnificent as Anna. Of course Yul is amazing and so funny!! The film is just beautiful from start to finish. I have had many recordings of this movie in my collection but the 2 dvd set has so many extras i had to have it.
