Movie Description A 1980s adaptation of the classic adventure novel, and the third Hollywood version, following the success of INDIANA JONES. Richard Chamberlain stars as Allan Quartermain, one of two adventurers who vie for an enormous treasure in the heart of a dangerous African country. Notes "King's Solomon's Mines" was shot on location in Zimbabwe, Africa. This is the third screen version of H. Rider Haggard novel; the 1950 film starred Deborah Kerr and Stewart Granger; and the 1937 incarnation featured Cedric Hardwicke, Anna Lee and Paul Robeson.
