Album Notes Blackfoot includes: Rick Medlocke (vocals, slide guitar); Greg T. Walker (vocals, bass); Ken Hensley (slide guitar, Hammond B-3 organ, background vocals); Charlie Hargrett (guitar); Jackson Spires (drums, background vocals). Recorded live in Hollywood on August 28, 1983. Includes liner notes by John Langerman. Although Blackfoot issued several top notch Southern rock studio albums during the late '70s and early '80s (notably 1979's STRIKE, 1980's TOMCATTIN', and 1981's MARAUDER), the band shone brightest on the concert stage. 1998's KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR is one of the few live Blackfoot recordings still available. Recorded at the Hollywood Palladium in California in August of 1983, KING BISCUIT features many of the band's most celebrated compositions, tops being "Rattlesnake Rock N' Roller," "Train, Train," "Highway Song," and "Fly Away." Also included as a bonus is a near 20-minute interview with Blackfoot founder/leader Rickey Medlocke, capping off the band's successful entry into the KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR series.
