The Alarm - early live set - pure power and emotion...
This is the Alarm in their early, formative years. If you liked the 5-song EP (I have it on LP from the '80s), then you will love this performance of some of that material, most of the Declaration album, and some songs that never made it to the studio (but were live favorites, nonetheless). If you are more into a "polished" Alarm sound, you should look elsewhere; however, if you don't check this out, you are missing a vital piece of Alarm history. After all, they went back to a more "Raw" sound right before they broke-up (maybe they missed it); though they recorded some great songs in the late-'80s and eraly-'90s, that would have never been possible without the break-through tracks on this King Biscuit CD. This is them in their favorite US city (Boston) and with more energy than three or four other bands (put together) could muster. Enjoy!
